The Bourbon Summit
Mitch McConnell still believes he can work with Barack Hussein Obama. Incredibly, McConnell believes his voters want him to make common cause with the President to get things done in Washington. Nothing could be further from the truth. Kentucky conservatives who held their noses and pulled the lever for the moderate McConnell do not want him advancing Obama's agenda of ever larger, ever more encroaching government. The majority of Kentuckians want Obama corralled. Kentucky wants socialism thwarted in America. Kentuckians want more freedom and less government. McConnell though is a progressive Republican who does not mind big government so long as his hands are on the levers of power. That is why I wish Matt Bevin had won the primary. So long as Mitch McConnell is leading the Republicans in the US Senate, there can be little change for the better.
