The Truth Tellers

Honest folk are rarely found working as mainstream news journalists or working for car dealerships. I do not know if every building contractor shoots you straight either. How many politicians tell it like it is or follow through on campaign promises?

Lying News Network

It seems like all the old-line television news networks manifest massive anti-Trump bias, but CNN has just been exposed by patriot journalist James O'Keefe as the most dishonest. I trust CNN about as much as I trust a scorpion hiding in my shoe.

There Was Collusion

There apparently really was collusion in the Presidential campaign. It was just not between Trump and Russia. First, it was between Democrat National Committee Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz and the Clinton campaign to make sure no one but Hillary Clinton could secure the Democrat nomination for President,making sure Bernie Sanders in particular had no path to victory no matter how many votes he won. Second, after Hillary secured the nomination, US Attorney General Loretta Lynch apparently gave assurances to Schultz that the investigation into Hillary would not be allowed to go far enough to derail her campaign to win the White House. Plenty of collusion occurred, just not by Trump or the GOP and the Ruskies.

The Great Hoax

Collusion between Russia and President Trump is a malicious hoax. Another hoax is that Donald Trump is a conservative.

Not Really Different

The saddest aspect of the Obamacare replacement debate is that only a handful of Republicans in the US House and three conservatives and one libertarian conservative in the US Senate do not take it that healthcare is a (new) entitlement. President Trump apparently believes healthcare is a universal right. In this aspect, the GOP mainstream and Democrats are in almost complete accord and we as a nation are careening toward single payer healthcare that will render America a socialist country and give our government sweepingly intrusive power. The government will soon have even more say over what we eat, drink, smoke, and drive. The government will have the ability to lavish care on favorites and deny care to dissidents. Universal care will be a lever to push more gun control. Single payer government rationed healthcare is the gateway to tyranny.

A Dying Party

John F Kennedy, who was an ardent anti-Communist and a tax-cutter, would not recognize the Democrat Party of today. Today's Democrat leaders are darn near Communists. What differentiates Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren from Marxists? The shift to the hard Left is not winning the Democrats many elections.

Their Lesson Learned

Rockefeller Republicans took a pounding back in the day when they campaigned as Democrat-lite. The voters realized they need not vote for Democrat-lite when they could elect real Democrats like Jimmy Carter. I think one thing Donald Trump has taught is no matter how you are going to govern, try to sound like Ronald Reagan when pursuing election to office. Mimic Reagan and sound conservative (whether or not you really are) is a lesson GOP candidates have learned, and it is winning them elections.

Learning Their Lesson

Several years back, the Democrat Party announced they were writing off the white working class. The white working class listened. How has that decision worked out for the Democrat Party?

Democrats Keep Losing

Last night, the Democrats lost two more special elections, bringing their total in special elections since Trump won the Presidency to zero wins in five attempts. I do not think that as a national party the Democrats realize hating the President is not the strategy to regain power.

The Korean Madman

There is no question in my mind that the brutal dictator of North Korea will try to destroy America the moment his slave state develops the capacity to do so. This possibility is intolerable. The US must preempt any aggressive action by Pyongyang, and ultimately must eliminate the despotic regime, with or without the consent of Red China.

Terror Is Terror

Whether it is inflicted by Muslims (which is most often the case) or on Muslims, terrorism must be stopped.

The Crocodile Tears

Some on the Left are less than sincere in expressing sadness over the attempted murder of Republican leaders. Leftists are still cheering the murder of our President in a play staged in New York. Leftists will still riot over conservatives being invited to speak at their universities. The Left is not tolerant and not open to hear what the other side has to say.

Time for Reflection

Careless words and lies are provoking assassination attempts. Antifa thugs are beating Trump supporters. It is time for the Left to tone it down before the Right has no choice but to defend itself.

Tone Down Rhetoric

Leaders on the Right in America have never accused their opponents of doing the things the Left is accusing. What did the Left expect when they accuse Trump and the GOP of attacking the very existence of humanity and even Earth itself by leaving the Paris Climate Accords that really were only an arrow aimed at the heart of our free markets and productive industries?

Lies and Madness

The Left lies about all Republican leaders. Unbalanced people take these lies to heart, and some of them are incited to violence. We have free speech in America, but defamation and incitement to violence go over the line.

The Unhinged Left

If you say Republicans want to take health care from people, foul the air and water with unchecked pollution, starve children, start wars for oil, and terminate the elderly long enough, some nut is going to take what you say to heart and try to harm GOP politicians. I have no idea of the motivation of the baseball practice shooter who attacked Republican leaders, but all the hate the Left is ginning up with lies could have been a factor.

Floor or Ceiling

Is the insane Left at its peak or nadir with a play featuring the murder of our President drawing cheering crowds in New York City?

Nothing to Hide

To hear the establishment tell it, the President should welcome the Mueller investigation if he has committed no crime. They are being disingenuous because they know an investigation with so much power and so many resources is able to produce so-called "process crimes".

Rescind Special Prosecutor

It seems James Comey was trying to trip our President up enough to make a special prosecutor necessary. Instead of rewarding Comey with the Robert Mueller investigation, the genie should be shoved back in the bottle and Mueller should be relieved of investigative authority. Has a Special Counsel or Special Prosecutor ever been rescinded? If not, it should happen now.

Simply No Interest

I used to love watching NBA games. After hearing some players and notably some coaches spouting off about President Trump and our country, you could not pay me to sit through a game. I have turned off ESPN on TV and rarely visit their website because ESPN has become obnoxiously leftist. I am glad Colin "Kneeler" has not found an NFL roster and hope he never does.

A New Day

The Prime Minister of Britain may hang on to power by the skin of her teeth. President Trump seems safe from impeachment in the wake of the Comey testimony. The world is still turning and the terrorists are still plotting, so life goes on as usual.

The Old Director

James Comey seems to bask in the spotlight. Now, I see why the President fired him.

The New Director

The new leader of the FBI may indeed be an outstanding American, but I can not imagine a more obscure choice for Trump to make. I follow politics and government obsessively, yet I never heard of the nominee for new director. Have you heard of Christopher Wray?

To Diminish Security

If you admit thousands of men of military age as "refugees" into your country, some of them may very well be jihadists already and others may be open to persuasion to embark on the path of jihad. If you accept so-called "refugees" from countries that are terror hotbeds (including countries so riven with strife that thorough vetting is impossible), you are putting your citizenry at risk. If you permit imams to radicalize their flocks or to preach hate from their pulpits, you are making yourself less safe. This dangerous road is the chosen route of Western Europeans led by Merkel.

To Enhance Security

London has more CC cameras than anyplace on earth. They are really great at catching folks littering, but did all those cameras stop or slow mass murder? Do you really think surveillance states make us any safer?

To Sort Out

When you have a religion with a couple of billion adherents, if just ten percent of them back violent means of spreading their faith, you find yourself being targeted by two hundred million fanatics. These fanatics proclaim "they love death more than the infidel loves life" and really mean it. As we saw in London last night, this is a perilous situation. I fear unless Muslims who do not want bloodshed remove the violent jihadists themselves, we really will find the world in a religious war that will kill more than any war heretofore fought in human history.

Mirth and Merry

Nothing says funny like holding up the simulated severed heads of politicians or using vile racist language on your chat show. Thanks to Kathy Griffin and Bill Maher for making us puke.

A Harsh Climate

Why would the US bind its own economy, while every other nation was free to do anything in their own economic interest, no matter how much pollution it caused for the next couple of decades? President Trump was right to leave the Paris Climate Treaty.

Not So Funny

An obscure performer thought it would be funny to take a photograph holding the simulated severed head of our President. I hope this ends her entertainment career.
