On the Team

The mainstream media is fully in the tank for the Biden regime. They are uncritical and willing to play along. If journalists do not fall in line with the dissemination of propaganda, they get "Tuckered" by their own networks. The major press figures might as well be working for Biden because they are.  

The Real Draft

A bunch of rent-seeking billionaire team owners are restocking their plantations through a football draft, that is of no real consequence. What is of moment with extreme significance is that the US military can't fill its ranks. Because of all the woke indoctrination being imposed from the top down, warriors are no longer joining up. America will have to institute a military draft to have sufficient manpower (How impolitic of me to use that word!) to protect the homeland. If you are worried about heavily subsidized teams signing massively overpaid athletes to represent your town, you have misplaced concerns. You should be worried about your child being pulled into the Ukraine war by the ignoramus-in-chief and the other dunderheads in D.C. 

Our Hobson's Choice

America must contend with a DemocRAT Party that at the highest level has gone full Marxist.  We must also endure a spineless GOP filled with back-biting self-promoters and unprincipled weaklings, with few notable exceptions. Why on earth would fellow Republicans go along with the liars trying to paint DeSantis as anti-business in his dealings with Disney, when it is obvious that the Governor is very pro-business but just anti-grooming, and that an out of state corporation picked a fight with Florida that was simply trying to limit the promotion of perversion to children? All this destructive in-fighting among Republicans at a time the opposing party is unified in turning our nation socialist. 

Wiping Out FOX

The hosts who have departed from the FOX News airways would clobber the "talent" that remains on air in the ratings. The folks that have been ushered out are seen as truth tellers while the ones who have stayed are seen as sycophants. I have no inclination to watch without Tucker and Dan Bongino, but I would eagerly subscribe to a channel that put Carlson back before an audience. 

Finish the Job?

Corrupt, fading old Joe has officially placed his hat back in the ring. Biden wants four more years to "finish the job". That reads for sane people:"Finish off America". 

Beware the Gatekeepers

Tucker Carlson is a truth teller. Those who employed him at FOX News do not want to demur from establishment thinking. Carlson does not care about the prevailing views of the elite. He is genuinely concerned about his audience and our nation. Tucker recognized so much of the media no longer exists to inform the public but to keep the facts from the public, including vital news about the pandemic and the so-called "vaccines" purported at first to halt the transmission of COVID but now revealed to be neither effective nor particularly safe. Carlson is a heretic the same way Galileo was, and Murdoch is the Pope with which Tucker had to contend. 

Two Conflicting Notions

When I was a child in Mrs. Bowers' class, my parents and I had different ideas about what to do when I returned from school on short fall and winter days. I wanted to use the dwindling daylight to go out and play, while Mom and Dad insisted I do fifteen minutes of homework before I did anything else. That seemed so wrong to me because our taskmaster in the classroom had given us impossible assignments, like diagramming one hundred complex sentences that literally no classmate ever finished, even with both parents doing the actual work. That little bit of time might amount at best to three sentences down and ninety-seven to go on an assignment no student ever completed but that time wasted on breaking down sentences burned the last light of day. In the event, Mom and Dad always prevailed, and I rarely had the chance to go out and play. I do not even remember how to diagram anymore after half a century despite the harsh sentence of excessive sentences to diagram, but that little sunshine at the end of the short days is gone too and will never come back. 

Destructive, Indeed Catastrophic

Joe Biden is deliberately harming the United States. Power plants without emissions that the Biden regime is mandating are power plants without power unless America endorses nuclear power which Biden finds anathema. This corrupt and fading dictator really wants humanity to regress to the caveman lifestyle. Everything Biden demands, if implemented reduces the standard of living of Americans. The Biden agenda is to make us less free and inflict massive discomfort on working Americans. 

Think How Successful

If you believe gun control laws should be implemented in America, perhaps you should support other measures too. The United States must enact laws against folks killing other people. That will surely make our communities safe. Oh, you tell me there are already statutes that make murder a crime in all fifty US States, in fact all American territory, yet murders still happen. You mean the "there ought to be a law" crowd and the knee jerk "but you law makers have to do something" folks may well restrict the rights of the heretofore law-abiding, but the murder will continue apace or even get worse because the honest will have been forced to give up the best means they had of deterring crime and protecting their families. 

No Higher Aspiration

My home state of Tennessee has a Republican Governor who is determined to destroy his future political viability. The people pushing gun control now by and large never supported Bill Lee, and regardless of his stand on gutting the Second Amendment, never will. The folks who put Lee into office expected him to protect gun right, advance them with Constitutional carry, and enshrine the right to keep and bear arms. He seemed to be doing just that, even though there was a bit of foot dragging until the Covenant School massacre. Now, he is overtly hostile to who he was when seeking the state's highest office. If Lee calls a special legislative session to strip our rights, he will NEVER win another state-wide election to any office in the Volunteer State. 

Count to Two

There are two sexes. There are not dozens, hundreds, or an infinite number of genders. There are a small number of people who are intersex (less than one percent by most estimates and 1.7 percent with "an intersex trait"). There are millions of youngsters with confusion who are easily influenced who can be convinced to ruin themselves for life by those who do not have their best interests at heart. There should be a moratorium against so-called gender-affirming care for those under the age of eighteen. Gullible children should not be exploited and manipulated by those who ultimately profit from their ill-considered decision to mutilate themselves.  

Weak as Water

Tennessee Republicans did mostly the right thing for all of one day. They expelled two of the three trouble makers who broke the rules in their midst. Then, the GOP got scared, folded like a poker player without even a pair, and are now picking up the mantle of gun control and seeing where they can work with DemocRATS to steal our Second Amendment rights, even though Tennessee has a Republican Governor and super majority in our state legislature. When you fold like you don't have a pair, you need to grow a pair, or be voted out! 

Definition of Victory

The Ukraine conflict does not have a cut and dried solution. An intractable war may be the most optimistic outcome for Kyiv. Zelenskyy never could outright defeat Russia. If Putin thought his forces would lose, he would likely resort to tactical nuclear weapons (at least, if not strategic ones). So, the Pentagon leaks really should not shock anyone. It is not possible for US allies to prevail over the forces of Moscow. For those who will not accept Russian conquest, the best that could be hoped for is stalemate. 

Two Terrible Tragedies

In Kansas City, a black sixteen year old who knocked at the door of an elderly white homeowner was critically wounded. In New York, a twenty year old white woman was shot dead by the resident when her friends who were lost in an area unfamiliar to them turned their car she was a passenger in down his driveway. People are quick on the trigger, too quick, because they are terrified. They have heard the "defund the police" messages and believe no officer will be there to protect them. They are afraid for their lives in instances where there is no reason to be so frightened.  

Angry Ex Bill

Tennessee's Governor Bill Lee, who is a Republican, is pushing a so-called "Red Flag Law"under a different name to subvert Second Amendment rights. He is caving to the demands of empty-headed teens, many of whom "protested" to ditch school and flat-out Marxists who are demanding this. The proposed law will encourage aggrieved former wives, neighbors with an ax to grind, or anyone who resents you, to call you a "danger", and just like that with no chance to give your side of the case, the authorities to come in and confiscate your heretofore legally owned guns and strip your right to own firearms in the future. The DemocRAT Party is corrupt and against America from the Founding. The GOP is weak and does not hold to principles. In too many cases, Republicans bend to the wind. Gun rights are natural rights for free people. 

Frame Argument Differently

Certain politicians have demonized the National Rifle Association. They have sought to smear firearm owners while excusing criminality. America has a "crime problem", not a "gun problem". Prosecutors now too often coddle criminals rather than protect communities from them. Law-abiding weapons owners are a hedge against violent law-breakers. Defending one's family is a natural right and sacred duty. Possession of a means to defend one's self, family, and home should be cast as a "Human Right". 

James on Down

Early basketball became a largely Jewish game. Now, it is almost free of Jewish players. There are some well-known players who have made anti-Semitic statements. There are many more pro basketball players who have an affinity for the Nation of Islam with its ardent Jew-hatred than who feel any empathy for the Jewish people. I think I will survive without the NBA.

Excited About Playoffs?

I used to be a fan of the NATIONAL Basketball Association. When the players decided to pop a squat on the American flag, I think they betrayed our nation. As memory serves, only two players refused to participate in the BLM solidarity kneeling. I still would watch that pair in a game of one on one but will never tune in again as long as the current generation of players, coaches, management, and league administration is still participating in any way in the games. They burned any allegiance I had to pro basketball with their divisive actions. 

Demand Israel's Restraint

Both sides in the Middle East conflict are not wrong. Only one side seeks the obliteration of the other. The Jews have never sought the eradication of their Muslim neighbors, while the Arabs have never relented in their desire to push the Jews into the sea. When violence erupts in the Holy Land, most of the world insists on "restraint" from each side. This is like telling the fellow mugged on the street that he should not resist the thug beating his brains out. The criminal does not enjoy the protection of law while he is actively breaking it, just as the terrorist deserves no mercy from the IDF in Israel's effort to defend innocent people. Every country has the right, indeed the duty, to protect their citizenry. The Jewish State is no exception. 

The Funny Thing

It is odd that folks considered "old Nashville" have such a uniformity of thought but that pattern of thinking is absolutely eschewed by Metro government. Our civic leaders listen to newcomers from other states. They take their marching orders from out of state developers. They cater to recent arrivals from the Third World, but to the people that built my hometown and still largely fund it through business and property taxes, our political class is absolutely non-responsive. The problem is that there are far too many of them now for us to vote out, so perhaps it is time to leave and become the nasty interlopers who somehow come to lord themselves over some community where we do not belong but take over anyway just as Nashville has experienced. 

Looking for Representation

My family has been in Nashville since the 1850s. We always felt we had a voice in the process, even if every candidate we voted for was not elected. There was always someone in government who reflected our values. Not at all anymore- the mayor and Metro Council are absolutely against our Second Amendment. If you want someone to give voice to the concerns of BLM, you are well represented in Nashville's government. If you are pushing the transsexual agenda, Metro will give you an ear and a forum to spread your eccentricities. If you think you need a modern sporting rifle to protect your family from surging crime, nobody in Nashville's political leadership will stand with you. A Nashvillian will find more support in our Metro Council for Marxism than the natural right of self defense. 

Bunch of Firsts

America has the first female Vice President. We have the first openly gay Secretary of Transportation. The US has the first transsexual four star admiral. We are blessed most of all with the first marionette Marxist President, and we are not even allowed to see who pulls Joe's strings. 

Coining a Term

With all the train derailments during the Biden regime, perhaps we should start calling them "Buttigieg" events. There has been a horribly destructive "Buttigeig" in Ohio. A "Buttigieg" just occurred in New Mexico. You get it, young Pete, the Transportation Secretary, will gain even more attention before the Presidential run he seems to want eventually. Every time a train goes off the track, just think there goes another "Buttigieg". 

The Lie, Repeated

None of the three rabble-rousing Tennessee DemocRATS gaining so much national attention this week are willing to tell the full truth. Tennesseans of any political stripe do not want to be disarmed by government. We do NOT want our means of protecting our families stripped away from us. They kept using the figure "seventy thousand" to describe all those in their voting districts as if all the voters are eager to turn in their guns and great supporters of restricting the right to firearms. Few actually are willing to turn in their own weapons, and those that do go along with this stupidity are able right now to relinquish theirs for a gift card in a church parking lot at the many "gun buyback" or "amnesty" events that Memphis, Nashville, and Knoxville hold with regularity, or simply call the local police and request that they remove a shooting iron. If you want to leave your family absolutely vulnerable, by all means turn in the best means of protection you have, but do not DARE try to remove the tools with which I defend my home. 

Expel Them All

My home state of Tennessee is a tad inconsistent in enforcing legislative rules. The State House came down like a hammer on a pair of young Representatives, who both happened to be African-American males. Neither had been in the body very long, and it is possible that they did not actually know the proper procedures that they ended up violating. For some reason, they let a white female who had served longer and presumptively was more familiar with the rules off, her expulsion being blocked by a single vote. It does look like a racist and sexist vote, with the good ole boys agreeing to take it easy on the Caucasian woman. That being said, I think all three should have been kicked out for being Marxist gun-grabbers, who do not follow rules and deplore our Constitutional rights. 

The Trump Railroad

If Trump is brought before a Manhattan jury, he will automatically be convicted. After all, almost everyone in that Borough believes Donald is Adolf. The jurors will feel they are saving the world from evil incarnate. It does not matter what the charge is or the evidence (or lack thereof). Do you think those hearing the case could ever go back to their neighbors, friends, and families under the cloud that they found Hitler not guilty? 

Coup and Insurrection

There really was a coup in the United States. There actually was an insurrection. These events were not perpetrated by Donald Trump, but done to him. 

Interest of Fairness

Most Americans used to be interested in "fair play". Too many folks now seem solely interested in taking down Donald Trump, no matter what. Do you not think the former President did not follow the course of action suggested by his lawyers throughout his career and personal dealings? Do you imagine that Donald himself was orchestrating actions when he was dealing with the toughest people in the construction trades, in New York, where they were sometimes mob-connected? No, Trump always vetted his actions through attorneys and was especially careful on taxes, following precisely what Certified Public Accountants and lawyers told him to do. Michael Cohen was not as he has been termed a "fixer", but someone who had passed the bar in New York and was presumed by Trump to be giving him sound legal advice. If the former President followed what he believed was within the law because his attorney directed is actions, then hold the law professional to account and not the client who was steered wrong by a lawyer who turned out to be a criminal.  It is absolutely unfair to use massive government resources over many years to find or manufacture a crime to pin on a person. That process is an old Soviet one that is un-American to the core. 

A Gag Order?

If the Court in New York imposes a "gag order" on the leading Republican candidate for the Presidency of the United States, then we will see the "indictment" for what it really is- an effort to impose totalitarianism on the United States. If they shut Trump up, we must be his voice in the many millions strong. 

Really Very Efficient

Wind turbines are actually amazing devices. They are not especially good at harnessing energy or distributing it consistently, but they are unparalleled in their capability of eradicating birds, including of course, migratory ones and endangered species. Yes, this unreliable means of generating green power is the perfect tool to make our skies bird-free! 

Bedrock of Liberty

Freedom, unrestrained by law, is anarchy. The United States now unfortunately suffers under a corrupt legal system, that enforces the rules differently for different sides. This problem is every bit as bad as anarchy. It is tyranny (at least for the party out of favor, in the case of America right now, that would be those who support Donald Trump and now the former President himself). The process of charging Trump with (concocted) crimes, and hounding Donald's supporters for anything they can come up with or manufacture is the hallmark of dictatorships. There is no doubt that those who founded the nation would not recognize it now, but Lenin and Venezuela's Chavez, if they were still alive, would find it quite familiar.
