Another Year Older

Loving my wife and child and never wanting to be excluded from their lives has made this year of divorce the single most difficult of my life. My wife was kind enough to tell me she was indeed filing on my birthday last year. I will always have that happy memory.

One Veto Override

Obama's lapdog Congress has finally, for the very first time, overridden a Presidential veto. It only took almost eight years and the concerted efforts of the families of the victims of September 11, 2001 to do it.

Lion and Lamb

After a long life serving the State of Israel, Shimon Peres has died. Peres was always for peace but recognized the need to defend the Jewish people. Peres was no "happy warrior", but a warrior for the cause of humanity that stressed that Jews would never again tolerate attempts at genocide against them.

A Stacked Deck

Donald Trump had to debate Clinton and the moderator Lester Holt last night. In spite of that rigged game, I thought Trump held his own.

The Biggest Game

Donald Trump versus Hillary Clinton is the most significant event in quite awhile. This debate is being played for the highest stakes.

Game of Weak

How many super-rich, ultra-privileged athletes will make a spectacle of themselves during the Sunday pro football games? Do they not know how lucky they are to be in America where they are taking in millions of dollars for playing a child's game?

Game of Week

The Tennessee Volunteers need to beat the Florida Gators for the first time in over a decade to be credible contenders in the Southeastern Conference. If UT manages to beat Florida, it guarantees nothing but would preserve the chance to compete for the title as the season progresses.

Come to China

Where else but Red China can you visit a factory where the employees could never afford the phones they are making?

Wednesday, September 21, 2016

Come to Syria

Where else in the world can you go where you can not even guess whether it is rebels, Russians, Islamists, or the Assad regime blowing you up?

Come to Florida

Where else in the Continental United States can you be bit by an alligator or a shark and contract Zika?

Sort of Revelation

We hosted some young relatives on Sunday and were amazed to find out that a nine year old cousin had never seen a camera. She only had knowledge of people taking pictures with their phones. She studied our cheap little portable camera like a sacred relic.

Trust a Journalist?

If most of today's journalists tell you it is sunny, grab your umbrella.

Needs No Explaining

Trump's Hillary gun comments were about Clinton's hypocrisy in wanting to strip law-abiding citizens of gun rights.

Hope for Dopes

Hillary is selling the same old socialism that has never worked anywhere and will never improve the economy in America.

Just Another Lie

Lo and behold, the government is suddenly reporting meteoric growth in the economy. After eight years, Obama (and by extension, Hillary) policies are starting to kick in. What do you bet that just after the election, these figures are revised downward?

More than Pneumonia

Hillary may well have pneumonia, but she also seems to have something chronic well beyond that.

The Wobbly Candidate

Hillary is unfit to be President, not merely because she literally does not seem to be able to stand up, but because she stands for the most Leftist agenda of anyone ever to be nominated by a major US political party. Hillary never wobbles on the radicalism to which she is absolutely committed.

A Somber Anniversary

Fifteen years ago, an unparalleled act of evil stole three thousand innocent lives. We must never forget!

More Disgusting Display

Several of the multimillionaire black football players have joined the San Francisco backup quarterback in protesting the nation that enabled them to become rich because they were slightly faster than their college teammates. Is this not a wonderful country?

He Wows Them

I have never seen a more captivating persona than Donald Trump seek public office. He is a dynamo!

Trump Will Stand

Donald Trump would never permit the US to be rolled in a negotiation. Obama and Hillary have been abused in almost every international agreement they signed for America.

Obama Walked Over

Putin. the Red Chinese, and even the President of the Philippines have all just stomped on the US Presidency. The Russians will continue to do as they please in Syria, as by the way, will Erdogan and Assad. The Communist Chinese will be glad to have America comply to the letter with the climate change agreement. The Chinese will not abide by it except where they see a win for themselves. The Philippine leader just cursed Obama quite literally, which I really do not object to, except that Obama represents more than a man, he is the living embodiment of our nation. No nation seems to like, fear, or respect Obama.

Labor Day Tragedy

America hardly manufactures anything anymore. In fact, a story Drudge spotlighted revealed more than twenty-two million people now work for government at all levels in America, while ten million less work in manufacturing. The once great storehouse of democracy that created enough munitions and materiel to win World War II for the Allies, now makes less goods by far than Red China. Not only are millions on the dole, government has over-regulated and crowded out private sector productivity and that is a shame.

Trickle Down Works

Rich people tend to do most of the hiring because the poor generally can not afford to employ people. When private sector jobs are created, everyone wins.

A Lousy Notion

Those who seek to redistribute the wealth never succeed in expanding prosperity; however, they are great at spreading misery.

The Last Moment

Sometimes, a situation that seems hopeless can be redeemed, even at the last second.

Thoroughly Unlikable Person

Hillary does not elicit warm feelings. She has the personality of an onion.
