On American Militancy

The protests against the Subway Strangling make no sense. It is abundantly clear the former Marine was only trying to protect himself and defend the non-threatening passengers on the car from a raving lunatic. Nobody jumped in to intervene to stop him, but other passengers who saw the out of control menace did help attempt to safely subdue the ranting black man. Tragically, the profoundly troubled individual lost his life, but to try to turn a white fellow who was trying to be a peace maker into a racist and call the event a murder or "lynching" is a travesty. New York has long been home to a large contingent who will demonstrate against the right thing and even riot when the do not get their way. When the authorities bow to the BLM crowd, anarchy and a higher murder rate are bound to follow.
