A Texas Nazi?

There are reports that the Texas mall shooter was a "white nationalist". This is odd in a certain aspect as the gunman was a dark-skinned Hispanic, but do motives for insane acts need to make sense? In this instance, if that is the motive, it further illustrates the senseless nature of the shooting spree.
