Terror War Over?

The Drudge Report today highlights stories that suggest that in the eyes of the Obama administration, the so-called war on terror (which might more aptly be called the fight to protect ourselves from aggressive Islamism) is over. This is wishful thinking, as jihad directed against the US could rear its ugly head at any time. Only when an enemy is so thoroughly vanquished that they cry "mercy" is such a fight for self-preservation really won, just as was seen in America's war of self-defense against Imperial Japan that concluded World War II.
