Such Striking Hubris

Hubris fells the mighty. How could a Gary Hart(pence) or a Herman Cain run for the US Presidency, leader of the free world, and not expect marital infidelity to be found out? How could John Edwards father an out of wedlock child while seeking the Democrat nomination for President and believe he could keep the birth secret? How could members of a security team for America's President patronize prostitutes, then argue over prices after "services" were rendered (apparently as little as $47), and not know that their misconduct would not come out? The male ego is a wonderful thing- a sword, a shield, and a component of grand delusion.
