The Great Salesmen

The dinosaur media has had halcyon days where they were able to talk down the economy of and Presidential terms of two Bushes, even succeeding in ginning up a real recession during the last days of the second George. The main stream media mongers now have the opposite task of convincing America's voters that the lousy US economy is a good one. Dinosaurs were fearsome in their heyday but you no longer see any around. The salad days when the dinosaur press could manipulate the public mind is over because a critical mass of skeptical alternative reportage exists to counter their lies and the vast majority does not feel Obama has enhanced their prospect of personal prosperity. The other trick the media is trying to pull off is to convince the masses that when a Kennedy or Jay Rockefeller has enormous wealth, it is no impediment to representing the interests of the common man but when Mitt Romney has comparable resources, it means the presumptive GOP nominee can not relate to the concerns of everyday Americans. I think the sales pitch of the dinosaur media will fall flat in November because aware Americans simply are not buying the oft-repeated falsehoods.
