Battling for Life

We were always pro-life as a family, abhorring abortion-on-demand, but medical futility policy was completely alien to us. We did not know doctors could simply ignore advance directives to fight for life and a family pleading for life-sustaining measures to be restored. We now consider the imposition of futile care to be medical murder.
