Such Gratuitous Cruelty

Could my Father's so-called "care team" have thought we wanted my Dad to experience "lucid dying"? We wanted Father to be given every chance at life- not so doped up that he could not breathe on his own- the medical team were sadistic in not giving my Dad pain control as they actively hastened his death against his advance directives and our pleading.
