The Real Scoop

If you live in America, it is highly doubtful Ebola will kill you. If you stay in the United States, you probably will not be murdered by a terrorist. If you reside in the lower Forty-eight or Hawaii, you need not worry about a polar bear drowning because of man-caused global warming. If you are an Alaskan, you will not see Ursus maritimus wiped out by climate change either. Most of us in the Land of the Free will live uneventfully, except for those brave enough to join the military, fire departments, or the police. We are mostly doomed or blessed with a prosaic existence, where we should give thanks for everyday miracles like pregnancy and birth. We still have two oceans as fortress and the blessing of more liberty than most non-Americans ever enjoy.
