Greatest Deliberative Body?

Until yesterday, the United States Senate was considered to be the "greatest deliberative body" in the world. The Senate was intended to be and was acting as a moderating force. The Democrat majority in the Senate decided to dispense with that by raising the standard for filibuster yesterday in all nominations except those to the United States Supreme Court. The Senate Democrats by exercising the so-called "nuclear option" in one fell swoop made the Senate into nothing more than an appendage of a looming Obama dictatorship.
