The Garden Party

A dear friend is hosting a pre-Thanksgiving party today. I have been advised not to talk about the divorce I never wanted, religion, politics, or sport (since all the local teams just lost). I guess I could talk about it being relatively cold for a garden party, but that might offend our beloved host, whose idea the get-together is. I guess I could pretend I only speak Spanish, but heaven forbid a real Spanish speaker is in attendance.
