The Nostalgia Affliction
I tend not to dwell on "good, old days", but my dear old pater was mentioning how such a sort time ago, we had prestige, power, and prosperity as a nation, and how quickly a lousy leader has managed to squander all that. Now, trial balloons are being floated for a new stimulus to stimulate the stimulus or is it a bailout for the bailout. In either case, the nation can not afford or long endure this kind of profligate spending, whether earnings are confiscated through taxes or money is devalued to Zimbabwe levels by printing currency apace. Reagan was a colossus who bestrode the world. Now, we have a fellow in office who will happily apologize for that.
