Be on Guard
'Tis not the amount of money a person is earning/ Freedom is man's natural yearning/ Nothing but death is a natural right/ All else must be earned through force and might/ Tyrants rise everywhere/ So free men must fight/ On the Fourth of July, fireworks are a glorious sight/ But the precious liberty they represent must be guarded day and night/ The struggle for liberty is constant and never sublime/ When we must sacrifice, we still appreciate that the gift of life is Divine/ What's earned with blood/ Can be lost with time/ Cast off false prophets of hope/ Throw off the chain of change/ Liberty, not license, must be on the lips and in the brain/ You know what is coming/ And it is pain/ Don't be complacent and let sunshine fade to darkness/ Stand fast to the last and on Independence Day, God bless
