Sarah Palin's Church

Sarah Palin's church burned in an evident arson. The Alaska governor apologized to her fellow congregants. She did not want her run for Vice President to have been the cause of distress for her fellowship. Only the lowest form of vermin would try to torch a church and Governor Palin bears no responsibility for the action of a mad man. What is remarkable is the lack of national coverage of the arson. When black churches burned in the south, the mainstream media was quick to lead national news programs with the story. Morris Dees and other race activists were brought on air with commentary blaming Republicans in general for the intolerant air in the country and right wing talk radio in particular for the destruction of the churches. There is justifiable outrage when such a vile act is committed but when it befalls a conservative institution, it is only sporadically reported and quickly fades into obscurity in the mainstream media.
