Truth About Trump

For all the grandiose visions the President's supporters have of him, Trump is just one more self-serving politician. He keeps more promises than previous Presidents, but he is NOT perfect and perhaps not even good. 

Truth About Epstein

The world is curious about whether Epstein was an "asset" of some intelligence service. I would say that he quite possibly was, but the speculation that he was working for Israel is groundless. Israeli authorities have arrested several Jews on the ground there for spying on behalf of Iran during the recent conflict. Just because someone is Jewish by birth and practice does not mean they have a superior loyalty or even any loyalty to the Jewish State. Could Epstein have been an agent of Israel's intelligence service? Maybe, but he also could have had other masters not connected to Jerusalem or Tel Aviv at all. 

Bizarre Kentucky Shooting

Apparently, a white convert from Christianity to Islam decided to attack a State Trooper and then gun down members of a Lexington, Kentucky-area church. The gunmen evidently had mental health issues, but authorities must look into his dealings online to find if any foreign actors influenced his madness. 

Bongino's Ultimate Integrity

You will know if the Trump administration is lying to you about Epstein by watching the actions of Deputy Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation Dan Bongino. If Bongino resigns or is fired, you know a cover-up is in force. 

Real Deep State

Could the current Attorney General of the United States be a holdover from the Deep State that Trump has been confronting for nearly a decade? Pam Bondi did the President no favors with her muddled statements on Epstein. Was she party to a conspiracy? 

Better Attorney General?

Is Pam Bondi really the best America has to offer? Could Trump have not found someone more credible? Nobody believes she is telling the truth about Epstein. 

Not Just Here

Every illegal alien that receives benefits from government is exploiting the taxpayer because to borrow a phrase from Barack Obama's speechwriters in regard to Obamacare they have "no skin in the game". Add to that the crimes migrants commit beyond merely breaking into our country, and you must see why we need the aggressive enforcement of immigration law we are now witnessing. The less that is taken by those who do not belong here, the more that may be provided for those that do. 

Anarchy and Lawlessness

The mayor of a city or governor of a state can't simply contravene Federal law. The United States had a Civil War in the 1860's that established who has primacy, and that is the national government. We have one immigration policy not fifty in each of the several states, nor hundreds more in different cities. Trump is enforcing the border and the law of the land. If you believe this course of action is wrong, win some elections and change the laws, but don't attack police and ICE agents for protecting our country. 

Losing All Credibility

Do you still trust Pam Bondi? After the Epstein debacle, many have lost faith in the Attorney General. Even I am skeptical now about her truthfulness.  

Partisans and Liars

The mainstream media with the exception of FOX News are propagandists for the (political) Left. They report a weather-caused tragedy as if it was somehow the fault of Trump and the Republicans and gun homicides as if the weapon got up and loaded itself before going off with no human agency behind the trigger. The dinosaur press is filled with despicable people who want to advance the progressive agenda. They take a side, the wrong one, while pretending to be objective. Mourn your loss. Love your neighbor, but do not believe the smear merchants reporting their agenda-driven "facts". 

Danger of Water

I remember the "millennial flood" in my hometown of Nashville, Tennessee in May of 2010. Until you are in such an event, you can't imagine water's power and speed. You will not be able to conceive of how fast an area goes from bone dry to completely inundated. I have witnessed from afar, many killed at Arkansas campgrounds when a flood occurred with a rapidity that none could have anticipated, and just now am mourning the Texas tragedy. If you are where water is rapidly rising, it may already be too late. Then again, you can't always stay up on a mountain either. 

The "Gay Guy"

Is Mayor Pete the best Presidential candidate the DemocRATS can muster? He did not even particularly distinguish himself as mayor of tiny South Bend, Indiana. Buttigieg failed miserably as Transportation Secretary, yet he appears to be the leading contender for the Presidential nomination by that flailing party in 2028. He will not be President though as Black men, who tend to be a strong constituency for DemocRATS, will not vote in large numbers for someone who is homosexual. 

Completely Beclowned Party

The DemocRATS now have more open hatred of Jews than they did when the Ku Klux Klan was a force in the party after America's Civil War. They just had a "leader" make a filibuster-type speech to block the Big, Beautiful Bill that stopped nothing. One of their leading Presidential candidates Governor "Newscum", as Trump so aptly calls him, is out looking for support in early primary state South Carolina, instead of being back at home helping to fight the largest fire of the year now striking California. The Jackass Party is certainly living down to its image. Happy Independence Day! 

No to "Grandstanding"

The "Big, Beautiful Bill" is not perfect but is vastly better than its alternative, which would allow the largest tax increase in American history to come into being. We should not permit the will of one Representative who has garnered a couple of hundred thousand votes to overcome the sound judgement of a President who has secured the support of over seventy million voters. In this instance, Trump is absolutely correct that this bill must become law. 

No Gaza Ceasefire!

Any truce in Israel's war on terror that permits the survival of Hamas as an organization is a defeat for the Jewish State. Netanyahu wants the living hostages released back to their families, but the fate of twenty or so people is not worth the ultimate cost that would be that Jews tolerate barbarism inflicted on their women, children, and even babies, and will allow the perpetrators of the outrage to survive to conduct future October Seventh-type massacres. If Hamas slips away, the future of Jews in the Holy Land is placed in peril. 

Colorado Jew Lynching

It does not matter if a Jew suffers death by bullets at the periphery of Gaza or murder by burning in Boulder. Both events carry on the evil work of Hitler. To protect ourselves, we must remain ever vigilant. To save our People, we must preserve Israel as our place of sanctuary, for days such as those we now confront. 

Senseless Idaho Murders

When my ninety year old father's spine problems that led him to his final stay started, we called Nashville's fire department to help stabilize him. They were incredibly gentle with Dad. They ultimately carefully loaded him into the ambulance that took him to Saint Thomas Hospital. These first responders were huge, burly men who acted as angels of mercy. Anyone who targets a fire fighter in performance of duty should face the harshest sanctions law can apply. What sort of monster starts an inferno to lure those who come to extinguish it into an ambush? The attacker is gone from this earth but will face eternal fire for his evil deed. 

Could Sliwa Win?

Did you know there have been Republican mayors of New York City? No, this is not fiction, GOP candidates have actually won in the Big Apple. Rudy Giuliani won the mayor's office as a Republican, and at one time Michael Bloomberg was actually a Republican too, so it is not entirely inconceivable that at some point a Republican could prevail in New York again. It just is NOT going to be the founder of the Guardian Angels Curtis Sliwa, who stands the same chance I do, and I am not running. 

The Aliyah Option

Jewish Americans enjoy a "right of return" to Israel. The Jewish State remains the refuge for Jews of last resort, but I frankly do not see that America is that bad for our people at this moment. You may have a heart and soul call to return to your religious "roots" and that is fine if you want to answer and return to our proverbial "home", but you are not being chased there from the United States, at least not yet. 

Flee to Freedom

New York City is likely about to become Pharaoh's Egypt to its Jewish residents. They will not be taken into bondage but will have their freedom and safety grievously threatened. You had best not walk down the street in a kippah, if the Muslim Marxist wins. Better remove that mezuzah from your exterior door, unless you are eager to be targeted. Go to shul after the election- you will be taking your life in your hands. Sure you will still be able to be a Jew in New York after the vote, just don't do it publicly. Keep your faith to yourself, and maybe you won't be assaulted for it, or you could make aliyah to Israel, or move to Florida or a similar "free" US state. 

Absolute Pipe Dream

The idea that some candidates might drop out of the race for mayor of New York City, so everyone could have one pick to oppose the radical Muslim seeking the job is farcical. Is a Republican is supposed to give it up in favor of an independent? That is NOT going to happen. Nor is the converse- Adams is not leaving the race. Neither is Curtis Sliwa.  I hate to think this and fear it, but the new leader of America's largest and most Jewish city is going to be a jihad-supporting Marxist. 

Schumer's Goose Cooked

If AOC wants Schumer's seat in the United States Senate, it will be hers for the taking. Yesterday's mayoral race proved that city is a Leftist sewer, where the most progressive rat will win the election, even if he is a Jew-hater, in the most Jewish place in America. Schumer will be trounced in the DemocRAT primary, if Ocasio-Cortez decides she wants the office. The day of the moderate or centrist DemocRAT is over in the Empire State, with the radicals now holding sway. 

Rely on Iran?

The Islamic Republic has been violating international norms since Khomeini took power. You do not capture an embassy, but he did. You do not blow up peacekeepers, but the Ayatollah did. You do not assassinate people in other countries, but Iran did. You do not commission a fellow to try to stab an author dead at a conference in New York, even if he only manages to blind the writer in one eye. The mad mullahs may make a ceasefire for their own survival but will keep the truce only as long as it is to their advantage. 

Not "American Aggression"

When I was in eighth grade, the Iranians captured the American embassy in Tehran. I am fifty-eight today. The mullahs sent suicide bombers to murder Americans in Lebanon not long after they held our diplomats hostage. They have been attacking Americans ever since, killing at least six hundred US personnel in Iraq alone. America struck back occasionally but not nearly hard enough to dissuade the Ayatollah. Maybe we need to teach the theocrats that enslave Iran a lesson they will never forget, and our defense of the civilized world with our hitting Tehran's nuclear program is a good start. 

On Confronting Evil

Evil, if left to its own devices, spreads like a cancer, until it kills off good. Trump surgically removed a substantial portion of that disease last night. The dark side still lives, but it is substantially weakened. 

America Thwarts Iran

The fevered dream of the mad mullahs was to destroy Israel with nuclear weapons. Tonight, Donald Trump shattered the Ayatollah's dark desire. Thank you Mr. President and thanks to the US military and our mighty and just nation! 

Really Just Words

The representations that Iran's nuclear program was peaceful were an obvious lie. Why would a nation swimming in oil need to build nuclear reactors? Do they lead the world in broken bones and need ten million X-ray machines? Do they abhor light bulbs and just want to glow in the dark during the night? The only reason they wanted their nuclear program was to make the world's most destructive weapons, to use to eliminate the Jewish State and then to extort the world. 

Not Just Words

The Islamic Republic has been shouting "death to Israel" for decades. This is not mere rhetoric, but what the mad mullahs have put into action first with proxies, but then through direct attacks on the Jewish State. The Ayatollah did not just say "the Zionist entity is a cancer" but put words into action to harm Jewish people around the world, many of those not Israeli at all, but simply Jews involved in their community in Argentina or visiting Romania. Israel is NOT the aggressor in the current conflict but is responding to multiple attacks that have lashed out directed by Tehran that have murdered innocents not just in the Holy Land but thousands of miles from the Middle East. There is also the element of preemption in Israel's self-defense, as the mad mullahs will gladly obliterate Tel Aviv, the moment they have the nuclear weapon to do it with, as they have vowed to do openly and committed billions of dollars of resources to achieve. 

No, Not Turnabout

I see some posting that Israel "attacked hospitals in Gaza", and now, Iran is exacting a measure of vengeance by hitting a hospital in the Jewish State. The IDF was not attacking hospitals in Gaza but the terrorist infrastructure built within the hospitals or underneath them, or simply jihadists hiding inside the co-opted facilities. What the Israelis did was pure self-defense, while Iran's assault is a deliberate strike on noncombatants and as such is a pure war crime. 

An Obstinate Fed

The markets would soar if the Federal Reserve cut the interest rates a full point. They would have if Biden were still President but not for Trump. I say audit the Fed and let the public know just how "honest" they are. 

Pray for Victory

I will NOT be praying for peace. A slave may have that but would rather enjoy freedom. The grave offers perfect tranquility, but I see few rushing to enter it. The civilized world needs the mad mullahs that enslave the Persian people vanquished. Israel, the United States, and the West require the elimination of the Iranian nuclear program. Decent people across the globe who do not want embassies captured or blown up want the Ayatollah removed. Peace will be wonderful after the IDF has won and removed the most consequential threat to humanity. 

Heed Israel's Warnings

The IDF is urging Iranians to leave areas around military targets. The Islamic Republic is issuing no such advance notice to the Israelis they are about to strike, who happen to be almost exclusively civilians. I have heard the the IRGC is ordering Iran's civilians to remain where they are, as like the Palestinians, the mad mullahs who enslave the Persian people want plenty of human shields so they can show the "carnage" to the world that Netanyahu is inflicting. War is a terrible thing, but clearly there is only one moral and righteous party in this current conflict. 

Iran Targeting Civilians

The Islamic Republic is firing missiles at more or less random targets in the Jewish State. Israel is carefully removing regime targets with surgical strikes, while the mad mullahs hit women and children, Christians, Jews, and even Muslims with some of their careless launches actually striking Syria. You see why reckless and irresponsible atavists like those in Tehran must NEVER acquire nuclear weapons- because they are wanton murderers who will slaughter anyone to advance their cause. 

A Protracted War

Iran and Israel have been at war covertly for years. The only quick resolution I see as possible now that the fight is ongoing and in the open is if the people of the Islamic Republic throw off the yoke of theocracy, which is a long shot in the foreseeable future because the government of the mad mullahs enjoys a virtual monopoly of force, with few guns in the hands of Iranians not linked to the regime. 

It Has Happened

All hell has broken out in the Middle East, with little Israel trying to prevent total annihilation at the hands of the mad mullahs of the Islamic Republic of Iran. I see the destruction has started but have no notion how it will end. The IDF is NOT the aggressor as Iran and the proxies directed by the Ayatollah have been attacking the Jewish State and more broadly Jews across the globe for decades. Netanyahu had no choice but to hit now, before Tel Aviv was wiped out with a nuclear missile. 

Little Weekend War

Radio host and catastrophist Glenn Beck and his chief researcher declared today that Israel will attack the nuclear sites of the Islamic Republic of Iran over this weekend. Others have similarly prognosticated what may be the beginning of the end for all humanity. I have no idea, as the open source intelligence on which I formerly depended has mostly gone away (primarily the former DEBKAfile that did break some scoops and seemed relatively reliable, particularly when it came to the Middle East). The Jewish State will do what it deems is best for Israel, but that might just spark World War III. 

Boeing Dreamliner Nightmare

When you board a commercial passenger flight, you expect to safely make it to your intended destination, or you certainly would not fly. Ships take longer, but you are still able to travel from India to London, with no risk of crashing from the sky. Boeing used to make reliable airplanes. I am less than confident they still do. I would rather take a month to arrive someplace safely, than board a quick flight for a sudden demise. 

A Brighter Future?

Things will be brighter on June 14, which is President Trump's birthday. The night will be positively aglow as many of our cities will be on fire. This date will be a coordinated attack on our nation by the hard Left. 

Shoot the Rioters

Those trying to kill law enforcement in the immigration riots need to be shot, not with foam or rubber bullets but with lethal munitions. If you drop a cinder block on a policeman from a highway overpass, you are trying to kill him. He has every right to defend himself with his service weapon. You are not practicing civil disobedience but trying to commit murder, and that attempt should be met with maximum force to protect the lives of law enforcement and innocent citizens alike. Kill a few of these street thugs who are trying to maim and murder, and this outrage will soon abate.

The Lawless Party

DemocRATS are proving themselves once again to be the party of disorder and anarchy. It would be safer for communities to work with immigration authorities to remove dangerous illegal aliens from our streets, but all too often the DemocRATS that run the major cities do just the opposite and shield felonious foreigners from deportation. Keeping them here is an undue expense imposed on taxpayers and risk to everybody. The cost they impose and the damage they do to American cities must be laid at the feet of those shielding them, like Mayor Bass and Governor Newsom. This list of infamy sadly includes the mayor of my hometown of Nashville, Freddie O'Connell. 

Not a Deterrent

Because you have a seventy year old reserve officer directing traffic in his uniform, albeit armed, as you are arriving for Yom Kippur at your shul and then leaving services, do not confuse that with actual defense against a terrorist attack. You would be better served if several congregants had training and used their concealed carry right to put an element of doubt into any possible attacker's head. "How many of these Jews are actually armed?" "How much resistance am I facing?" "Will I be martyred before I am able to kill some infidels"? That is the real protection, not old John Law, however nice he is and engaging with the congregants. 

Israeli Security Consultants

Jewish communities in the United States should consider bringing in IDF and Israeli police experts on terrorism to map out the best security precautions and to train American Jews in the methods of protection used by the country most under jihadist siege. For decades, Israel has been on the cutting edge of thwarting jihad, and now that the threat is on our shores, it makes sense to call upon the expertise of the best counter-terror forces in the world to strengthen our synagogues and temples, schools, and community centers, making them as difficult to target as they are in the Holy Land. 

Burning Holocaust Survivors

The people that hate the Jews want to kill our Jewish babies, our Jewish grandparents, and every Jew in between. They could not care less if they are red-headed infants (see Bibas) or silver-haired grandmothers. The enemies of our People want our blood and are none too picky on whose blood that ends up being. They would try to murder me or a whole classroom of Jewish day school toddlers. I have some ability to defend myself, but our little children do not. We must protect ourselves and each other. 

A Martial Art

If you happen to be Jewish (as I am), you should study a martial art, as it seems we are all wearing bullseyes right now, and we would be well-served to make ourselves a hard target. Krav Maga is a good option, if you have a competent instructor nearby, but any training is better than none at all. Brazilian ju-jitsu from the Gracie school is also excellent, particularly for grappling. If it is legal in your locality to carry a firearm, seek the necessary training and licensing if required and have the means at hand to protect your family. Finally, rally with your Jewish neighbors, fellow congregants at temple or synagogue and learn to recognize and how to deal with threats both to individuals and more broadly to the Jewish community. 

More Blood Libel

A jihadist or Marxist my have literally pulled the trigger, but the lies besmirching Israel's conduct in Gaza proverbially loaded the gun. No military in the world takes the precautions the IDF does to minimize casualties among the other side's noncombatants, yet the Jewish State is smeared with massacring Palestinians, starving children, and even genocide. The only recent attempt at genocide was on October 7, 2023, and it was committed by Gazans on Israelis. 

Sweets Are Served

After many terror attacks, Muslims hand out candies in their neighborhoods to celebrate. They shout "God is great" in Arabic and cheer on the murder of innocent people. Massacres are met with parties that lift up the perpetrators and call for even more slaughter. This is not a religion of peace, but of conquest and forced conversion. The West needs determined defenders to not become dhimmi to be subjugated until the end of time or until they too convert and become Islamist oppressors. 

Hate Crime Terrorism?

The Boulder, Colorado attack should never have happened. The alleged assailant was an illegal alien from Egypt. Open borders (which were Biden's, not Trump's) have consequences. I do not want to see the perpetrator deported back to his home country. If God-willing the injured ll survive, I want "Mr. Molotov" imprisoned here to his last breath. If some of the injured succumb eventually from the burns, I want this jihadist executed.  

The Gaza Truce

Any ceasefire in the Gaza Strip that allows Hamas to survive is a defeat for Israel and an invitation for future attacks on Jews worldwide. A truce now is a harbinger of surrender to Islamism by the Western World. It is capitulation of civilization to jihad and will mark the beginning of the suicide of the West. The loss by the IDF will be felt far beyond the Middle East. 

The Neutered President

I do not like the Trump tariffs, but I do not want a Federal judge blocking them. The President needs the normal authority of the Office to negotiate for the United States. The Courts are crippling America by limiting the options Trump should be able to use, even if they are negotiating tactics. 

Unemployment Creeping Upward

First time jobless claims rose slightly. This is a good thing in a way as rising unemployment pressures the Federal Reserve to lower interest rates to stimulate job growth. Chairman Powell just had his "come to Jesus" meeting with Trump but was not persuaded and apparently intends to hold rates steady. The Fed seems as much of an impediment to the President as the Courts are at the moment. 

Nolensville Is Lying

The city of Nolensville says it needs to raise property tax because of the need to provide additional services to a rapidly growing community. The necessity of a tax increase now is hokum because the growth has actually broadened the tax base. With vastly more people paying property tax, there is no need to increase rates. The larger number of homes means a greater number of homeowners paying the property tax, which naturally increases the city coffers WITHOUT having to raise tax rates. The argument over this is similar to those who refuse to use dynamic scoring when it benefits them to push for higher marginal tax rates at the Federal level. The politicians and bureaucrats pushing this municipal tax rise always have a rapacious appetite to take more and more of your money. 

No Actual President

If courts issue restraining orders against everything a leader is attempting to implement, a void exists and a country is leaderless. You can't block every action of the chief executive and really continue to have a "President". Trump is apparently not permitted to "preside" over anything. It is all now in the hands of the unelected judges. His first term was marked by being harassed by largely whole cloth investigations launched by political opponents who thwarted Forty-five from saving the nation. Now, the judiciary has taken over where the legislature and the bureaucrats were restraining the President before; so Forty-seven is in a limbo catatonic Forty-six never faced. 

Trump's Tariff Gambit

I know some of the tariff threats are part of the "art of the deal". Trump is using "huge" tariffs as a ploy to soften the position of the other side. Forty-seven also must be aware that the prospect of a trade war is sinking US stocks. I wonder if anyone in the President's inner circle is shorting the market. I would not have thought anything so untoward and ethically wrong could happen, if Trump had not hosted a fete for the largest buyers of his meme crypto-coin. Trump's actions also make me question if he has a vested interest more broadly in pushing cryptocurrency. There may not be a trade war, but in any event, I think Trump's close circle will end up richer. 

For Somber Reflection

I will not be partying today or going to a sale. My uncle by marriage was killed in a Consolidated B-24 Liberator in the Second World War. A cousin died in training. This is not the day for me to open my pool or throw a keg party. Lieutenant Nathan M. "Ned" Hatkoff, Aunt Redi's talented husband, and fearless cousin Ralph Shepard, who kept up with his brother champion diver and later prisoner of war Al Shepard, today I think of you and the noblest sacrifice that kept me from ever knowing you. Dad, I think of you too, trying to join the glider corps, and passing all the mental requisites before an army doctor found your cancer. I guess I was lucky just to have been born more than twenty years after the aforementioned events. Families do not necessarily want heroes, just sons that come home intact (and daughters too in this "liberated" age). The price of freedom is paid in blood. 

John Wayne Attitude

I have always enjoyed John Wayne movies. I also tend to agree with much of his conservative worldview. I only wish he had served in uniform, so nobody could label him a "chicken hawk". Reagan with nowhere near the stature as an actor managed to sign up. Even Henry Fonda, he of the Leftist spawn, fought, while Wayne sat out the Second World War. 

Jews Tried Before

Maybe the idea of Jewish self-defense is NOT actually revolutionary. It has been attempted in the past, but that led to the leaders who organized it dying under mysterious circumstances in Federal prison (Irv Rubin and Earl Krugel of the Jewish Defense League). So the implementation of self-protection of the Jews in America is certainly fraught, but when people are murdering us in the street, the effort is mandatory. The Jewish diaspora must be strong like the nation of Israel and stop relying on "tolerance" by folks that can't stand us as our shield for survival. 

Really Jew Season

All over the globe, it is open season on Jews. We are being hunted from Washington to Western Europe and are under constant threat in the Holy Land. I have a revolutionary notion- fight back! 

Green or Red

The Communists murdered huge numbers of Jews, less than Hitler and the Nazis, but a significant loss of human capital. The International Left, is home to some Jews (in name only, because their practice of religion denies God and is marked not by fealty to Torah and Tanakh but Leftism), but still this side of the political spectrum is dangerous to the Jewish People even if those of Jewish heritage are some of the most outspoken radicals. Muslims have been persecuting Jews since the inception of Islam (Khaybar massacre led by the Prophet). The hostility by Mohammadans to the oldest Abrahamic faith has not abated since. Last night's Washington shooting was NOT carried out by a Muslim, unless the assailant converted, of which there is no reportage, but by a Leftist. You are just as dead if a Marxist shoots you as a jihadist. A world of woe awaits the Jews, not from a particular corner, but from the so-called Right John Birch Society types, the Noam Chomsky kind of Israel-hating Jews, the progressive to radical Left more generally, and, of course, the jihadists fanatics. So the Jews face dangers from turncoat Kapos seemingly inside the tent and are vulnerable from every side. 

Federal Reserve Stymies

It is NOT Trump creating issues for America's economy (although the President's tariffs certainly do complicate matters). It is the FED that is keeping interest rates high to fight the chimera of "inflation" that is. This practice was not followed by the Federal Reserve when Biden was spending fiat currency like a drunken sailor as the greenbacks were flying off the smoking printing presses. It is only when the Donald is in office that the Fed decides to work at cross-purposes to the President and his economic team. 

Weighing the Cost

If Israel accepts a ceasefire to free the remaining hostages, it will be committing national suicide. There are relatively few remaining hostages alive (less than twenty-five), and to stop crushing Hamas now would be opening hunting season on Jews by every jihadist on the planet. 

Marking the Days

The hostages that terrorists seized in Israel on October 7, 2023 have been held in Gaza far too long. This has been no Six Day War glory for Israel or even near tragedy like the Yom Kippur War of 1973, but a national humiliation for the Israelis who have lost their reputation for being able to do the seemingly impossible, and look weak and ripe for the picking by the mad mullahs of Tehran. I am not saying the IDF has lost its edge, only that is likely the perception of implacable fanatics in the Islamic Republic of Iran and their Houthi henchmen in Yemen. There is no deterrence to the Twelvers, who now see Israel for all the alleged might that nation possesses as incapable of stopping incoming missiles and even unable to rescue kidnapped people after over a year and a half. 

Mexican Navy Tragedy

A tall ship of the Mexican navy struck the Brooklyn Bridge last night killing at least two sailors. My initial reaction was "how tragic". My second take was who even knew Mexico had a navy? My third reaction was that it is kind of hard not to notice you are about to have a portion of your vessel plow into an enormous (and incidentally legendary) bridge. I hope the injured of which there are several all recover, and for goodness sake Mexico, buy a craft that is propelled by a motor. The age of sailing ships in combat effectively closed with the Merrimack and the Monitor during the American Civil War in 1862. 

Beyond Faded Joe

The prosecutor interview about the classified document tapes demonstrates conclusively that Biden was not responsible enough to have his hand on the nuclear button, so who did? No longer competent Joe probably could not differentiate between the nuclear codes and his tax return. He reminded me of the dotard who is sent on the harmless mission to go to the corner store to pick up a two liter ginger ale but comes back four hour later, when everybody is frantically searching for him, without the soda but with a light bulb that doesn't fit any lamps or fixtures in the house. Joe wasn't merely the golf ball lost in the tall grass, but someone who you would not trust to watch your three year old for five seconds, but some would have you believe that even as that special counsel was asking those questions, that Biden was directing the defense of the nation. 

New Mideast Partnerships?

Why should America join an Arab state in the Persian Gulf to create an Artificial Intelligence center? If such a hub is going to be constructed, would it not b better for the United States to keep it close to Cal Tech or MIT? Would the data not be more secure here in the homeland? What record of technological achievement makes Abu Dhabi a suitable location for the most cutting edge project? 

Trump Blesses Qatar

Qatar is second only to the Islamic Republic of Iran in the sponsorship of jihad. Qatar has funded Hamas and shielded its senior leaders. Qatar hosts and substantially pays for the Jew-hating liars of Al Jazeera. Qatar is friendlier to the mad mullahs who oppress the Iranian people than the other Arab states. All in all, the only aspect of Qatar that does not shout anti-civilization is that they host an American military base, and now, the Qataris have further tried to ingratiate themselves to Trump by offering him a four hundred million dollar airplane. Did Forty-seven rebuff this "gift" that looks to some like an attempt to bribe? No, he wants the fancy aircraft. I do not trust Qatar or their "good intentions" and am amazed and saddened that the American President did not knock terror-enthusiast Qatar back.  

Trump Kisses Syria

The new dictator of Syria has permitted Alawites, Druze, and Christians to be slaughtered. This butchery was no impediment to Trump shaking his bloody hand. Trump is sadly proving himself to be opposite of a champion of human rights as he removes sanctions against Syria just as that country tries to eliminate its religious minorities.

The opposition party in America is now composed of ingrates, turncoats, indolent parasites, and the mentally ill. Oh, my bad, I left out Marxist traitors and Islamo-Nazis. 

Blood Libel Approved

The NHL is fine with blood libels against Israel and by extension Jews, but defend Israel, and you are suspended by the League. Doug Cifu, a minority owner of the Florida Panthers, who happens to be a Jewish supporter of Israel, countered the starvation/genocide in Gaza lie so prevalent among the Jew-haters, and for his effort, the powers-that-be in hockey suspended him. Screw the NHL- a bunch of anti-Jew, Israel-hating bigots are in charge of pro hockey. 

Age and Rank

I happened to read an actor only in his forties just succumbed to cancer. Emperors, kings, and business titans have lost the battle with the Big-C. I do not think cancer will be cured in my lifetime or several lifetimes, although the chance to finally defeat cancer will likely be helped by advances in artificial intelligence, which sadly carries huge risk on its own, even as it may help humanity in the war against heretofore terminal illnesses. 

Surprisingly Flexible Trump

Was Trump running a bluff? Were the tariffs just a negotiating ploy? It sure seems that way, if you read translations from the Chinese press (which it goes without saying is state-controlled media). The Reds are crowing about how accommodating American negotiators turned out to be. Were the tariffs merely posturing all along, not meant to break Beijing but to fool Americans into thinking Forty-seven is an incredibly tough guy (who in reality folds like a cheap suit when another country actually stands up to him)? The market futures seem to like the pull back by the United States, but in the event, this did not turn out like brinkmanship, but only a giant show to demonstrate to the domestic base what a fighter we have in the White House, who turns out to give Red China most of what they wanted even though they remain an implacable enemy to the USA. 

The Perfect Game?

Because of inclement weather, the Southeastern Conference will not have a champion in softball but two. These co-champions would both almost certainly have gone to the NCAA Tournament anyway to vie for a national title, which ultimately will be played out on the field and not called for thunderstorms. 

No Vance Communion

After thousands of pro-abortion politicians, who happened to be Catholic, received no punishment from the Church, it has been suggested that Vice President Vance, who is a convert to Catholicism, will be denied communion by the new Pope and his underlings. Why? Because he is an American conservative and opposes Open Borders, which is a position the Catholic Church (as it existed under Francis and now Leo) can't abide. So, to slaughter the unborn in the millions is tolerated, but to keep foreign criminals and mental cases out of your own country is an unpardonable sin under current Catholic doctrine.

Does anyone else find it ironic that a bunch of people are getting together to elect "God's emissary on Earth"? Why would the good Lord delegate such a task to mortals? I also heard the "voters" must take a "vow of secrecy" about the proceedings. This should not be too difficult for an organization that hid the largest instance of pedophilia the planet has ever suffered through for generations. 

Carriers Still Risky

At the onset of US Naval carrier aviation after the First World War, a number of pilots were lost in accidents. A century later, off the coast of Yemen, two F/A-18 sixty million dollar planes were just lost to mishaps within a week. Thankfully, no personnel were killed. Aircraft carrier service will always be a dangerous occupation. 

The Arrogant Nation

France will save the Ukraine. Yes, the country that could not defend itself not just once but twice from the Germans will now throttle Mother Russia. France wins, so long as America's military ends up doing the fighting. 

The Indispensable Nation

The United Kingdom gave us the Magna Carta and Shakespeare but that was long ago, and Britain has not done much since, except lose an empire and fail to win any significant wars without help. France produced ballet and some pretty good eating, but without the assistance of a particular country, would be a province of Germany today. Germany produced fierce fighters and good beer, but made my relatives (as I am Jewish) into soap and lampshades, and would have done similarly nasty things to us all had one particular nation not stood to block its path. That one country that has consistently paid the price for freedom is the United States of America, without which the world would suffer under despotism and darkness. 

Never Follow Blindly

Always think critically about who you are going to support politically and why they have earned your backing. I voted three times for Trump and do not regret my choice, not because Forty-seven is perfect, or even good, but because his opponents were so loathsome. 

A Boat Rocker

Donald Trump is anything but a conventional politician. His tariffs are not all positive for America and may end up being not positive at all. The problem with rocking the boat is that sometimes you end up falling off, and there is real potential for recession or even worse as Trump policies take increasing hold of the beleaguered economy of the United States. If everything from abroad, which at the moment remains most of what Americans need and must buy, ends up costing more, wages and salaries must increase. Trump has written the prescription for increasing the inflation that his voters elected him to fix. 

Age of Miracles?

Perhaps in our technological age, we are witnessing ""miracles", but I do not see them. Where are the cures, or even the treatments, and what has this alleged advancement brought us in this age of COVID? Maybe, humanity used up the miraculous in the times of the Bible. 

God Bless Trump

Canada decided to diminish itself and limit the rights of Canadians by perpetuating Trudeauism with Carney. I do not particularly care what these sanctimonious neighbors do to themselves. It just makes me that much more glad to be an American with a great President defending freedom here.

The final barrier to oppression enveloping the whole world is the Second Amendment of the United States Constitution. Were it not for hundreds of millions of guns in private hands in America, the globalists and the Deep State would impose tyranny on all mankind.

Beware of "Journalists"

The dinosaur press and even the leftward portions of New Media are enemies of the people. They all saw Biden's obvious decline but only now, when it is irrelevant to anything except their flagging credibility, are they mentioning it in public. So the "guardians of truth" will only let you know what the facts are when their revelation can't harm the Left. 

Beware of Liver

If you ever do acquire a Keeshond, have your veterinarian pay special attention to the liver of your pet. Three of our Kees ultimately succumbed to liver cancer, although one of those Bru did so at the ripe old age of eighteen (which is a pretty good run for this breed). 

The Keeshond Disposition

Some dogs, particularly members of the Retriever family, have sunny temperaments. Not many folks would say that about their Keeshond. This is a stubborn breed that only wants to go in the one direction that does not lead to the safe and welcoming confines of home. This type of dog would not bark if someone was breaking into your house but will not stop barking when you are on the phone with your doctor trying to hear if your biopsy came back positive for cancer. This fellow went through al the recommended training steps before the introduction of the kitten into your household, then found the newcomer to be absolutely delicious. No, Keeshonden are not for everybody, just for owners with Job's patience and Musk's wallet. 

The Tiger "Lily"

We had a Keeshond named "Lily" who was as large as a female German Shepard both in height and weight (about twenty-four inches at the shoulder and seventy-seven pounds).  Every time she stepped out, I would find her munching on squirrel(s) and or chipmunks that she would track down with her amazing speed or moles and voles she had dug up. She was Carnage, Incorporated to the small mammals in the backyard. The smart ones avoided the fenced in area where we let Lily roam to at least have some chance of survival. We had one flight of stairs leading to the backdoor in the daylight basement, but I never saw Lily walk down it. She would leap the entire nine steps every time in a single bound with her feet touching down only when she was on the floor thirteen feet below. What an animal- one perfect killing machine! 

Beware of Bird

A couple of years back, I was being swooped by a territorial blue jay every time I walked out at the west of our home (the bank executive side, not the movie star one). This bird was relentless. It would fly just over my head, so close I could hear and feel the rush of its rapidly flapping wings. Still, I had matters to attend to at that portion of our house, like taking out the garbage and recycling. One day, this blue fury finally (from my perspective) went too far. He/she actually grabbed a hunk of my hair toward the back of my neck and yanked it out. That's right, this inedible turkey pulled some of my locks out by their very roots. After that, the diving bastard actually left me alone. I guess the jay had made its point. 

Beware of Cat

One of my great aunts maintained a menagerie in her apartment in Manhattan. She had dogs, cats, and a monkey she called "Cochise". She fed a pigeon at her window that she named "Walter", but he was not the Walter acclaimed for his work on the silver screen. Aunt Bertie had a Park Avenue vet make house calls to care for her flock back when veterinarians did such things, and one day after the treatments she was escorting the doctor back to the elevator when a vengeful cat ran out and bit each in sequence on the ankle, resulting in two awful infections and no more home visits by that particular healer. The dog may or may not be man's best friend, but surely cats are unpredictable. 

Beware of Dog

A long time ago I knew a fellow with a huge Queen of England Line yellow Labrador Retriever named "Charter". This dog was as large as a Great Dane, must have weighed a hundred and fifty pounds. He was by no means a vicious animal, just large and strong and not comprehending his own strength. We were warned when we visited that Charter would be "rough" when he greeted us upon our arrival at "his" lakefront home. His owner actually suggested we roll up in a ball if he knocked us down to let him "burn off some steam" while figuring out who we were. I was confident I could handle him because I had grown up with a one hundred ten pound Flat-coated Retriever who was pretty dominant in his own right. Man, was I ever wrong. This dog outweighed me at the time and knocked me down like a bowling pin. Then, to show his "affection", Charter stomped on me a few times, with my thinking at the time being the big boy was just trying to make sure I was dead. I survived my encounter with this monster whose owner insisted that he is "just friendly and a gentle giant". Dogs are man's best friend, but with a pup like Charter, you really do not need enemies. 

Beware of Vance

The Vice President of the United States visits the Pope, and the very next day, the Pontiff is dead! Usually Vice Presidents are only sent to attend state funerals, not cause them. Perhaps, J.D. will be invited to visit old Putin. 

America Left Vulnerable

Our enemies abroad fear Donald Trump, and for the United States, that is a good thing. If Forty-seven is seen as an iron leader of unquestioned authority that makes America's enemies tremble, but when Federal judges and the Supreme Court manacle our President that actually weakens us in the eyes of the rest of the world. An unthinking judiciary is turning a rampant bull into a feeble steer, and the perception of the rest of the globe will surely reflect that they are witnessing American Courts castrate a formerly strong President and that will transform America from the bully on the block to the skinny fellow who has sand kicked in his face. American courts are not simply coddling foreign criminals, lunatics, and terrorists; they are also making us weaker and inviting aggression against the Homeland by deliberately handicapping our one elected LEADER. 

The Failure Factories

I saw a story today about a ten year old home schooled girl who just completed not one but two college degrees. If she had remained in the temples of indoctrination that are America's public schools she would likely be a fourth grader and have her intellect restrained and talent trapped. The best action a parent can take for an exceptional child is to remove them from state-run education. 

A Brighter Future?

Had Kamala Harris secured the Presidency, the United States would have had no chance for better prosperity or increased freedom. The Trump victory by no means ensured an improving economy, but at least Forty-seven is a capitalist, and not an empty-headed, sloganeering Marxist. Tariffs might not ultimately help Americans and in the short run, are undeniably causing the pain of increased costs, but they beat central planning and the Communist re-founding of our nation. 

The Glacial Pace

If Trump were an emperor with unquestioned authority or truly a dictator, perhaps he could save America. Because he is not a tyrant and operates under law, Forty-seven is being blocked from doing much of anything. It seems every action the executive branch attempts to embark upon is stymied by some court or another. No leader could function under such strictures, and the President is not exempt from having the rug pulled out from under him by Leftist judges, who are demonstrating their determination to keep the United States on the path of managed decline, rather than aiding the effort to return our nation to greatness. 

Such Fast Change

If I had bought a Tesla vehicle a year ago, I would have been an environmental hero. If I purchase one today, I am a Nazi. Oh, how rapidly the worm has turned. Maybe, you really never were stopping global warming by driving an electric car, and perhaps Musk does not actually equal Hitler, but simply someone who wants to restore fiscal solvency and sanity to the United States. 

Pennsylvania Governor Attacked

A bizarre arson attack damaged the Governor's Mansion in Pennsylvania. The arsonist apparently carried a hammer with the intention of beating Jewish Governor Shapiro. Fortunately, the assailant never was near enough to the Governor to implement that portion of his deranged plan. As a Jew myself, I have to wonder if part of the motivation of the perpetrator was antisemitism. 

A Weather Gauge

Should I lie and say I bought during the Trump tariff panic? I did not buy, nor sell either, but watched in horror as my stocks dropped like a lead balloon.Will the shares come back? Maybe, I certainly hope so, but stocks tend not to bounce back but to recover much more slowly than they crashed, if we are lucky enough that they rise back at all.  

When Tariffs Hit

The tariffs Trump has imposed have not really bit yet. The American People have not seen how much so many items they need simply to live will go up when the tariffs kick in, and only then will they start to realize how expensive life is about to become. MAGA will lose considerable support when folks see how much it is costing them. 

Feel Like Winning?

When you lose a fifth of your portfolio in a week, is Trump winning? Can you afford much more of Trump victories? Will your retirement investments withstand much more of Trump "prosperity"? How much will Trump's tariffs cost you and your family in the end? 

Blood and Treasure

Americans are suffering at the hands of Team Trump with the irresponsible and destructive tariffs, but just wait for the pain when the President does the bidding of other nations and attacks the Islamic Republic of Iran. Then, the mad mullahs will send suicide terrorists the world over and cut off the Straits of Hormuz, and America will find out what misery is all about. 

Does Trump Care?

The President makes a great show of being filmed with "angel families" or hostages formerly held by Hamas after they are freed, but does Trump actually have any empathy? It is when he gains political points that Trump demonstrates great concern for certain people, but when the cameras are off and no advantage is to be gained, does Forty-seven actually give two cents for the condition of Americans? Trump's reactions to the economic dislocation brought about by his tariff scheme shout "NO". He is not the least bit worried that you lost ten percent or more of all you had in the span of a few short days. Trump is not bothered in the slightest that you now have to push back retirement because your 401(k) tumbled mightily. Trump may just be the awful con man that the opposing party said he was. 

Trump's Grotesque Hubris

Does Trump not realize how much he is harming the investor class in America with his ill-conceived tariff policy? Trump is breaking the entrepreneurs who create the vast majority of private sector jobs in an effort to bring back illusory blue collar assembly jobs that are already gone everywhere because of advances in robotics and automation. He is destroying both the goose and the golden egg in service of a vision that has been extinguished, so that even if the industry returns to American shores, it will bring very little employment with it for human beings. Trump is waging a fight that was lost in the 1970's when Japan began preying on US automotive manufacturers, but Trump is too bullheaded to see there is no turning the clock back decades, and no way the tariffs uplift prosperity for most of the American People.  

Forward Thinking President?

Imagine an old codger of an American President closing US markets in 1930 to everything made abroad because he demanded all the wagon-wheel making jobs be brought back to America. Most of the country erupts because who is still traveling by wagon in 1930? Why are you punishing the vast majority of Americans to bring back something no longer useful, a relic of past lives? We don't need wheelwrights anymore, we have cars now, but just move that forward almost a century and see how little concern Trump has for the plight of most of his countrymen. Mr, Trump, your tariffs are a tool of a bygone era and are harming almost every family! 

The Southeastern Dominance

This season's SEC men's basketball will be crowned as the best by any conference so far. In the championship game, Florida was not overpowering but scraped out a hard-earned win. The Gator victory capped off a spectacular year for the league, wherein all but two teams were invited to the NCAA Tournament, and half the Final Four were members, with the Gators ultimately proving supreme and acquitting the Southeastern Conference as the toughest ever in Men's Division I. 

The Right Thing?

Trump waging a tariff war now is not necessary and will destroy his popularity. After the election where he not only won the Electoral College but the popular vote, Trump had a mandate but that was to restore and enhance prosperity, not to cause a recession. Have other nations exploited the United States? Sure, absolutely but the answer to that is NOT to make the American people suffer more by tanking the 401(k)s and stocks. Waging the tariff fight now is a choice by Trump, and a very destructive one for Americans just digging themselves out of COVID economic dislocation and the Biden mismanagement. Please President Trump- wake up and stop crushing your own voters. 

The Realistic View

Trump's tariffs are a terrible mistake from many perspectives. They may be the absolute right course for anyone interested in fair trade, as America has been subjected to unfair practices that negate free trade for decades. Everything from tariffs against exported US goods, to markets completely closed to certain US goods, to currency manipulation, particularly by Red China, have been implemented to harm America. In order to have truly free trade, it must be a level playing field for every country, but it has been slanted against American manufacturers and farmers with Trump finally fighting back on their behalf. The problem with Trump imposing tariffs now is that he is harming most Americans, and the goal of bringing production back on shore may ultimately help very few as those returning plants will be automated and staffed by many robots and only enough people to service the robots that will actually be making most of the goods. As for monetary policy, is Fed Chair Jay Powell right that the Trump tariffs will spike inflation, and therefore, the Federal Reserve can't lower interest rates to stimulate the economy as Trump demands? Yes, but Powell was silent as Biden and his rubber stamp Congress were spending the United States into oblivion, and actually tailored American monetary policy to keep DemocRATS in power and in the White House. Powell will stand as an opponent and obstacle to Trump while he was just the opposite to Biden and Harris. Trump's policy is moral and correct but also enormously destructive to the prosperity he is trying to deliver. 

The Pessimistic View

Trump imposing tariffs may be the morally correct path because American goods have been subjected to foreign tariffs without response for far too long, but what of the damage done to most of America's households? Everything they were buying from abroad will now cost more, but they will not be making anymore to pay for it. Not to mention the 401(k) and individual shareholder bloodbath taking place. Sometimes, doing the right thing is painful, but these tariffs are killing us, and there is virtually no upside for America as technology is replacing workers everyday and everywhere, so jobs will not be coming back to our country in any significant numbers, even if the manufacturing facilities ultimately do return to our shores. 

Bit of Optimism

Donald Trump can't cure what ails America's economy. He will not be in office long enough to undo the damage of awful economic policy, lousy negotiations with foreign leaders, horrendous trade policy, and cronyism that have reduced the United States to where we are now. Ross Perot heard that "giant sucking sound" of American jobs leaving and could not have been more right but was mocked by both liberals and conservatives alike, when time has demonstrated that the factories really did depart in droves with NAFTA. The problem we have at the moment is that Trump can't reverse the decline in four or even the somewhat mythic eight years (which won't happen). He is also poisoning his MAGA brand so that he will likely not have a successor to continue his "bring jobs back to America" mission, and industry is changing with automation and robotics, wherein the blue collar positions will be reduced substantially no matter where the assembly and manufacturing plants are. So the President in attempting to do service for Americans and in principle absolutely the right thing is in the process of making Trumpism toxic and ensuring it ends with this one last term. Then back to the Deep State, the Swamp, the offshoring of jobs, and the managed decline of the United States we go. 

Tornado Proof Construction

There is no building material that is able to withstand the most fierce tornado. You can take natural disasters into account in construction codes, but there will always be a weather event so powerful that it overwhelms anything man has the ability to construct. Lord, help America including my home state of Tennessee as we are beset with violent spring storms. 

About "Free Trade"

America has been subjected to the tariffs and closed markets of many nations. This is not fair trade. Without fair trade, there can't be free trade. Uncle Sam has been Uncle Sucker far too long, but Trump is determined to change that. 

Mandatory Death Penalty

Membership alone in certain jihadi movements merits execution. Daesh (ISIS) burned people alive in cages. They drowned others in similar contraptions. If you make a video pledging your loyalty unto death to this terrorist organization, capital punishment is exactly what you deserve. You can't volunteer to be a brutally sadistic murderer without the harshest consequences. After witnessing what Hamas did on October 7, 2023, their adherents deserve no mercy either. 

Half the Field

The NCAA Tournament is down to the Final Four, and the much vaunted Southeastern Conference did not disappoint. Two of the remaining teams are from this best ever conference, with one inevitably reaching the championship game. I would say Florida would be that team, with Auburn's best player Johni Broome battling persistent injuries, that were aggravated during the Final Eight contest against Michigan State. My heart is with Auburn, but my mind is screaming "Gators". 

Kind of Leadership

If Federal judges obstruct the President at every turn as they are doing to Trump, America essentially ends up with a void in leadership. This situation would be different in scope and scale to the Biden regime where there was not an absence of direction, but rather just the case where Americans did not know who was leading. With old Joe's mental decline, it was obviously not him, but it remains in question who was leading the cabal.

Absolutely Powerless Presidency

Do you think our Constitution created a Commander-in-Chief who is not permitted to lead? How about Founding Fathers who conceived of Courts meant to shackle the executive branch? These events did NOT happen. President Trump is not acting as a dictator or king but simply trying to abide by the wishes of the millions of Americans who voted him into office. 

Trust Your Cat?

My mother had a Siamese cat that lived over twenty years. When I was a little boy, this gorgeous animal would come nuzzle me, purring in seemingly absolute contentment. Then this mercurial fellow out of nowhere would nip me with his razor-sharp teeth. Mom would say "that's a Siamese for you", but from my experience, many different breeds of feline will turn on a dime from a loving playmate into a biting nightmare. 

Cowboys and Horses

A stallion might try to kick your head in, but he will be honest about it. Maybe, most riders love their mounts because a steed never lied to anybody. If only people possessed the integrity of equines. 

In On It

The Washington press corps that was covering Biden were part and parcel members of the plot to cover up Joe's mental decline. They accepted submitting their questions in advance in the few venues fading Biden actually answered anything. The reporters knew this practice was NOT normal, and it should have been unacceptable to them, a red flag that something was deeply amiss within the White House, and it should have been reported to the public immediately rather than held back for over three years. A conspiracy of silence was entered into by the dinosaur media that was against journalistic ethics (such as they are) and against the public's interest and even compromised the safety of our nation. America should not have had an empty suit puppet at the helm. Reporters owed it to the country to reveal fading Joe's increasing incapacity. 

Makes No Difference

Whatever was shared intentionally or accidentally about America's attack plans for the Iran-proxy Houthis in Yemen will not alter the course or outcome of the campaign. Our military will simply overpower the seventh-century throwbacks there and the Iranians pulling their strings. 

Best Basketball Conference

An unprecedented fourteen teams out of the sixteen competing in the Southeastern Conference (SEC) secured bids to this season's NCAA men's basketball tournament. We are now down to the final sixteen vying for the trophy, and almost half that have survived and advanced are from the still dominating SEC. It will mean little if a team representing the conference does not win the national title, but so far the league has lived up to the high expectations of the fans. 

Foolish Judicial Coup

Do you think that the people will side with the President who received over seventy-five million votes or the judges who nobody voted into power? Is a "Constitutional crisis" erupting? Quite possibly, but it is NOT Trump who is sparking it. It is the black-robed despots igniting an event they will come to regret. 

Trump the Scofflaw

The President has the duty to protect the nation. If a court or more broadly the Courts enfeeble Trump, then it is his moral obligation to ignore the constraints they are imposing. Will this be a Constitutional crisis? You bet, one caused entirely by an overreaching judiciary. 

Count on Roberts?

Donald Trump is hoping that the United States Supreme Court will quickly rule on the injunctions that Federal judges have imposed on the new administration to restrain action in a manner and scope never heretofore imposed on any American President. Trump should not believe the Chief Justice John Roberts will rule in his favor. Roberts has been called "a conservative jurist", but since he rose to lead the Court, his decisions have been anything but favoring the Right on everything except abortion. I think Roberts will smack down Trump at every opportunity, either because he wants to reserve power for the judiciary and against the executive and legislative branches, or Roberts really deplores Trump and feels for the good of the Nation that he must hem the President in, or as has been speculated, Roberts is the victim of kompromat and must follow the instructions he is receiving. Trump wants rulings soon and to his favor, but he will never get them from the nation's highest court. 

Judicial Activists Flourish

The United States has a pragmatic conservative President trying to restore the nation to a solid foundation. What sort of judge would strive to prevent that? Radical Marxists now inhabit a substantial portion of the Federal judiciary. 

The Powerless Presidency?

Do you think the Founding Fathers envisioned or the Constitution demands an executive branch blocked by the judiciary at every turn? I know what is happening now. It is not Trump who is "out of control", but the so-called "judges" who stymie the President at every step. 

Definitely the Best

John Wooden deserves even more credit than he has received as the greatest collegiate men's basketball coach. Some discount his accomplishments as only happening because of the level of talent UCLA had. Wooden recruited those players and in a clean and scrupulous way. He was not sending anyone envelops of cash that did happen at some major programs. It helped that he had all-time great players on his rosters, but he brought them there and nurtured their innate abilities. Wooden won his initial title before the cavalcade of superstars started coming to his campus. Wooden towers over all the other men's college basketball coaches. 

Built the Wall

Trump has not yet completed the wall at America's border. Activist judges are completing a wall around Trump to block him from governing the United States. He has more injunctions against him than all the previous Presidents combined, twice as many in fact in a few short months as any President who served out full terms, including FDR who was in the highest office over twelve years. Set our President free, so that he may keep the citizens free. 

No More Grace

President Trump is tired of the pirates of Yemen. He will no longer tolerate the terror that has heretofore emanated from the Houthis. This is another stark difference between Biden and whoever was actually running his administration and ruining the world. Trump will not tolerate the Tripolitanian freebooters of our time. The United States Navy and the rest of our powerful forces will smash the jihadist threat into oblivion.

We already knew Donald Trump had courage, raising to pump his fist and shout "fight, fight, fight" after having been shot, but yesterday the President demonstrated his sense of composure and immediate forgiveness after a member of the media (presumably accidentally) struck Trump in the face with a microphone. He was momentarily taken aback but did not demand the clumsy boom mike holder be ejected. President Trump wants the minimum earnings to be subject to the Federal Income Tax to rise to one hundred and fifty thousand dollars. The DemocRATS give lip service to being for the little gut. Trump actually is. 

Really Against Fascism?

Was the fellow the United States wants to deport just a student activist or an agitator active in promoting terrorism and denying Jewish students their civil rights on and even access to the university that they have paid to attend? This particular individual is important in and of himself but also as part of a broad conspiracy wherein Antifa, Communists, BLM-types, and Black Flag anarchists are all determined not merely to undermine America's support for Israel, but to bring down the United States itself. Should the Columbia instigator be deported? Absolutely, in a sane nation, this practitioner of fascism under another guise would have been kicked out already. 

Freedom's Last Bastion

Glenn Beck is reporting the looming Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) about to be imposed on Europe. The only bulwark left against tyranny is Donald Trump leading the United States. Every other developed country is in the process of abandoning individual rights. CBDC is the real "Mark of the Beast" being foisted on the People, and the last significant temporal force against it is Trump's power. 

Unhinged and Violent

Just a couple of years ago, Elon Musk was viewed as a champion of the Left who was going to save the environment with his electric vehicles. Now, his green-friendly Teslas have been subjected to vandalism and even arson. This is because Musk has made common cause with Donald Trump in an effort to reduce fraud and waste in government. The attacks on Tesla have become so bad that I have heard certain insurance companies are considering not renewing comprehensive policies on Tesla cars and trucks and that Tesla owners might have to purchase liability only plans. The radical fringe is in the grip of lunacy. You don't destroy someone's vehicle that was going to help save the world when she bought it because the manufacturer also happens to want to save our nation. 

Senseless Syria Slaughter

The Islamists who ousted the Assad regime are on a ruthless murder spree in Syria. They are butchering the Alawites from which the Assad clan emerged, but also Christians and Druze. It is incumbent on world bodies and decent people to stop these massacres now! 

Den of Devils

There were good and decent Germans who resisted Hitler every step of the way. Where are the Gazans standing up to Hamas? Where is the Palestinian Sophie Scholl? Has a Bonhoeffer arisen in Gaza to resist evil and advance real and lasting peace? I hope the Trump plan is implemented there so that the area is cleansed of murderous Islamists. 

An Interesting Fellow

My mother and I chatted with a fellow who pulled his Cadillac sedan into a space we wanted at the Green Hills Kroger. His voice had a certain resonance and reminded me of a friend and classmate of Mom's who has sometimes performed with Willie Nelson. Mr. Golden Pipes did not tell us his name at this time, but a half hour later we found ourselves checking out when he did. We were parked bumper to bumper, so we exited together and continued our conversation. Turns out he was a radio host I had been listening to much of my life. Jerry Minshall, it was a pleasure meeting you. You are a great gentleman and raconteur. 

The Criminal Court

Many on the Left were deeply disheartened that Trump installed Amy Coney Barrett as an Associate Justice on the United States Supreme Court. They needn't have worried as apart from abortion, most of her decisions have aligned with the liberal justices, and even on Roe v. Wade her correct interpretation of the Constitution only sent the matter back to the states which have overwhelming gone for the interests of the abortionists, with some estimates saying more pregnancies are being terminated now than before the ruling. Even in the few states that opted against infanticide, the abortifacient trade has surged with "doctors" in Blue States shipping these killing drugs to women in areas where restrictions were placed on abortion clinics. We also are burdened with the so-called "conservative" Chief Justice who it has been speculated since the Obamacare decision has some sort of compromising material hanging over him that has him often voting against original intent, and both these Justices seem determined to bind Trump's hands and keep the Deep State in full operation. 

Hackman's Sad Demise

Nobody alive knows precisely what happened to acting great Gene Hackman and his wife, but my surmise is that he might have died of natural causes and that his wife was so distraught that she took her own life. It has been mentioned they were greatly devoted to each other, and maybe she felt she just could not go on without him. Of course, I initially wondered about carbon monoxide poisoning as had been speculated about in the press, but when tests seemed to rule that out, I thought of a bond so strong scenario. 

Grading the Opposition

There have been Democrats who were great patriots and tremendous forces for good. JFK and Henry "Scoop" Jackson immediately come to mind. Patrick Moynihan made some great points and so did Joe Lieberman. Those Democrats and the ideology that they espoused are all dead, as is the political party they inhabited. It has become the DemocRAT Party composed of Marxists and misfits, sexual deviants and mental cases, and self-serving government employee union members including teachers who put their students last. Their display during the joint session where Trump spoke was odious. These DemocRATS offer nothing to help work-a-day Americans or America- only obstruction. 

The Tariff War

The one aspect of the tariff fight that mystifies me is why are tariffs on Canada and Mexico higher than those on implacable enemy Red China? If one of the rationales for the duties being imposed is Fentanyl, why have lower rates on Beijing where the precursor chemicals are all coming from, rather than our immediate neighbors who are just a pass-through for the evil being inflicted on America by the People's Republic? 

Oscar Against Israel

A documentary few saw or will ever see won an Oscar. It was made by Israelis and "Palestinians". The problem is the coexistence type of "Palestinian" has no authority among his own people, and when it comes down to it, very little constituency among "Palestinians". The "Palestinians" who have reached out for the brotherhood of man notions or genuine steps toward peace tend to be rapidly killed by more radical "Palestinians". The Jews who at this point in time would make a movie with people who want to extinguish the Jewish State are often called "self-loathing"; I would not necessarily say they hate themselves, just other Jews who are striving to survive in a nation under siege that suffered the worst attack on their brethren since the Holocaust on October 7, 2023 and have been struggling to prevent more such massacres ever since then. No, these Jewish filmmakers may not despise themselves but are kapos or court Jews, who will sell out their own People to survive a bit longer or accumulate a bit more for themselves. I will not name their documentary as I have no desire to promote them or it, nor will I ever pay to see any production in which they participate. 

Most Exciting Day

If you are a fan of Southeastern Conference basketball, you must have enjoyed yesterday's contests involving the Tennessee Volunteers and Vanderbilt. The Vols won on a buzzer beater in the tooth and nail rumble against the tough Alabama Crimson Tide team. The hero was somewhat unlikely as he is known as a great defender but not a three point shooter, yet Jahmai Mashack stood up like Reggie Miller at his peak and nailed the thirty foot game winner. The Commodores lagged the Missouri Tigers the entire game until the end, but managed to secure an overtime period that the home team absolutely dominated. Good on both my home state teams. May their stunning successes continue. 

No Moral Obligation

The United States is NOT obliged to defend the borders of the Ukraine. Trump is charged with defending the borders of America. Western Europe is in closer geographic proximity to the Russia war. Since the US saved them in World War II, our European allies have never fully maintained the burden of their own defense. Washington and our taxpayers paid the majority of the costs of protecting Western Europe. Trump is determined that America will not be exploited and that Europe will carry the weight of defending themselves. We do not need to fight Europe's war. Trump is preventing a third world war with his chastening of arrogant little Zelenskyy. 

Save Our Nation!

More injunctions have been issued blocking Donald Trump in a single month than were imposed upon all the former Presidents in over two hundred and thirty-five years. This obstruction is untenable. The United States has one President. These imperious judges are out of line. The Supreme Court must stop this insanity. 

The Hamstrung President

Judges, who are Leftist activists or even happen to have a wife who received a contract through a Federal Agency Trump is cutting, might consider recusing themselves or even have an ethical obligation to do so. Could you imagine a Federal judge somewhere when FDR was President telling him he could not fire a general who screwed up in his fight against the Empire of Japan? Well, those who in reality are radicals masquerading as judges (but retain their spot on the bench) are doing that every day to the President, who did not just prevail in the Electoral College but actually won the popular vote. For America to survive, Trump must be allowed to do what voters sent him back to Washington to accomplish. 

Oh, The Headwinds

America has gone from a self-dealing, senile puppet as President to an executive with no power at all, thwarted at every turn by Courts that were silent when Biden's strings were being pulled by the Deep State cabal. We were "leaderless" in each instance, with crooked old Joe as a mere figurehead, bending at the whim of his own staff ("I'll get in trouble if I answer that", Biden intoned. Trouble with who, for what? You were the leader of the nation). To Trump having the very reasons he was elected  never being enacted as black-robed bandits steal executive authority and tell the presumptive Leader of the Free World all the things he can't do. Judges never have run America as that was clearly designated the job of the President in our Constitution. We may indeed have a "Constitutional crisis" but is one of insane judicial overreach. 

How Peace Works

Fanatics, who do not value their own lives, make it impossible to reach peace. You may have a genuine cessation of hostilities in Ireland because both the Catholics and the Protestants value their own lives. In Gaza, Israel faces a death cult. Nobody can coexist with neighbors who gleefully want to slaughter the innocent babies of the other side. The IDF operates under the doctrine of "purity of arms", where they are willing to sacrifice their own troops to spare the lives of noncombatants in Gaza who are being used as human shields. No other army in the world would do that. Hamas and Israel will never be able to reach an accord. You can't make peace with those who do not value the sanctity of life. You simply must put them in a place where they no longer have the ability to harm the innocent. Then, harmony will flourish. 

Real Peace Plan

Gaza is not inhabited at the moment by people who are willing to make peace. The residents there are weaned on the hatred of Jews to the extent they would rather kill Jews than survive. At their rallies for years, they have shouted in Arabic, "we love death more than you love life", and they really mean it. Folks like that can't be reasoned with and need to be relocated away from the innocents that they are determined to murder. 

Unpack the Court

I am aware that Federal judicial appointments are for life but really wish the Marxist judges could be removed from the bench. They are ideological creatures devoted to harming America as founded. Trump is running up against them every time he tries to do what he was elected to accomplish. 

Real Buy In

Barack Hussein Obama declared that he "did not want any free riders" exploiting our health care system, and that was his supposedly fiscally-responsible motivation to impose Obamacare. Obama said foreigners would NEVER be able to access Affordable Car Act benefits. Biden turned that on its head in his magnetizing of America to maximize the number of aliens entering and sucking off of the taxpayers' burden. Trump is reversing that as quickly as he is able. The notion that the American taxpayer must fund the treatment the maladies of anyone who sneaks into the country is risible on its face, and the way nations are quickly bankrupted. 

Agree With Trump

Germany, before Hitler and the Holocaust, had produced culture and science. What has Gaza given the world? Hitler's empire was reduced to shambles and ashes. What should happen to the modern day Nazis of Gaza, who have given the world absolutely nothing of value? They worship death and produce the murder of innocents. I concur with Trump:"Wipe Gaza off the map". 

A Horror Show

The "peace-loving enclave" of Gaza gave back some of the Israeli dead today. Hamas returned locked coffins without the proper keys to open them. Two of the "victims" were cherubic red-headed brothers, abducted at nine months and four years of age respectively. Before the Israeli pathologists began their grim work, the coffins were checked for booby traps, as authorities in the Holy Land know just how reliable their interlocutors in Gaza are.  The IDF contends with butchers, anachronistic monsters, seventh century savages, atavists armed with the most high tech weapons of our age, and with the blood lust of the SS. There was no Jewish army at the time of Hitler, but there is now, and they know the gravity of their mission. "Never again" comes at this very instant. 

New York Pogrom

New York law enforcement stood by to allow terrorist sympathizers to engage in ethnic and religious intimidation of Orthodox Jews in their own neighborhood, the largest enclave of Jews in such a small area in America, Borough Park; yet, the police acted aggressively against Jews who tried to stand up to the thugs harassing them. Imagine if the Ku Klux Klan had entered a predominately African-American neighborhood in New York, would the police have facilitated racial discrimination and detained the residents who actually live there who dared stand to oppose it? This was the NYPD taking sides and siding with the mindset that took down the Twin Towers on September 11, 2001. This was a sick display of hate and promotion of genocide of the Jews that should not be tolerated in America. This was "globalize the Intifada" in action. Jews and decent people of any faith (or no faith, if they are simply not Jew-haters) must demand that authorities protect residents of areas under assault rather than troublemakers who come from the outside to carry out an attack. 

Is Speech Free?

In Europe, the People have nothing like the First Amendment of the United States Constitution, and are not really free to speak their minds. Germany is jailing folks for posts on the web, and the United Kingdom is holding Tommy Robinson as a political prisoner. Katie Hopkins has been made a non-person and almost destitute by Britain because she told the truth. With Trump back in office, you are able to speak your piece, but Americans were not able to do so under the Biden regime. You are only truly free when you are permitted to say what you want without fear of sanction by government. 

A Different Breed

In recent times, American Presidents have not been permitted to drive themselves by the Secret Service. Not only did Trump take the wheel, but he took it on a race track! Not only is the President leading our nation but he was using his heavily armored "Beast" as the Daytona pace car. 

Did Not Disappoint

The Auburn tussle against Alabama lived up to the hype. Nate Oats has taken the Tide to heights heretofore unseen with his brilliant concepts. He has recruited great athletes who play to the style, and they fight hard. Bruce Pearl at Auburn is the best special situation coach I have seen. His in-bounds plays are unstoppable. Pearl is fantastic at in-game adjustments. The rivals fought like champions with all the odds to Alabama's favor. The Tide was playing at home before fanatic supporters. They managed to foul out two significant Auburn contributors (Dylan Cardwell and Chad Baker-Mazara), and Johni Broome, the best collegiate player in the nation, re-injured his ankle taking him out in crucial moments of the game and slowing him down when he re-entered the contest. Yet, with all that adversity, Auburn found a way to win. These are national championship caliber teams. 

The Alabama Battle

An event will happen today that has never occurred before, number one in the nation takes on the second-ranked team, both representing Forrest Gump's home state. Of course, Gump is fiction but first-ranked Auburn is real as rain, as is current number two Alabama, and not in football either. We are talking round ball here and though each team has football national titles, neither has ever won one on the hardwood, but that could change this season. If you enjoy basketball, this is a game you will love. 

Made the Trade

The Lakers went from being a team that might struggle to make the playoffs to a title contender with a spectacular transaction. Luka Doncic should improve Los Angeles considerably, but even after the trade, lowly Utah beat the superstars. The Lakers may end up winning the championship with two of the best players leading the way, but they will have to earn it. 

To the Right

Every time a so-called "asylum seeker" attacks his hosts, it gains votes for so-called "far-right" political parties. The Afghan terrorist in Germany may have just secured victory for AfD. Amazingly enough, Germans do not want to be run down by vehicles or stabbed in the back for walking in a park or going to a Christmas market.  

To The Mat

DemocRATS are all hands on deck not to protect the American People, but to safeguard waste, graft, and inefficiency. Not to protect citizens from that bill of horribles, but to vouchsafe the corruption itself. The Swamp wants to forever enshrine their trough and keep Trump and Musk from paring back all the spending that exploits the taxpayer. Bless Team Trump in their effort to save the United States. 

The "Terrified" Invaders

The Vatican has claimed "immigrants" are "terrified" in America. I would counter that those who arrived by legal means have nothing to fear, but if you are here illegally, you should worry. If you breached our border, you are a criminal alien and need to leave. 

Another Super Bore

I am glad Philadelphia won but must say the game itself was not that entertaining. It was not a competitive contest when it mattered, with Kansas City scoring two of their touchdowns only after the Eagles had inserted all their substitutes while the Chiefs keft their starters in to try to make the score more respectable. Many viewers wished they had earplugs for the Kendrick Lamar halftime horror. I would have enjoyed an old movie more than the "Big Game". 

Maybe Dan Marino

Who is the best professional football player to never win a Super Bowl? For my money, it is Dan Marino who ignited the Dolphins offense with his quick release of passes and uncanny accuracy. Just in throwing mechanics, the former Pitt Panther star has to rank at the top. No, he did not have much mobility, particularly as his career wound down, after numerous injuries, but man, he could throw. For fans of the mobile quarterback, Fran Tarkenton has to claim that unwanted honor. At least, the scrambler extraordinaire made it to the biggest game multiple times, but never quite grabbed the ring. I am sure either great would have gladly traded some of their formidable stats for a championship. 

The Dangerous High

Using narcotics is a risky proposition. Now, apparently, simply flying in an airplane carries dangers that heretofore seemed a relic of the early age of aviation. I am NOT a comfortable flier because two of my uncles, both at the time married to my Aunt Redi, died in separate plane events, Uncle Ned died in a B-24, and the Germans had everything to do with that, and Uncle Mike, when the plane he was piloting crashed in Hershey, Pennsylvania. So, I have rarely flown and only when it was absolutely necessary. With three air disasters in not quite three weeks, I am even less likely to board an airliner. 

Not Flying Soon

Yet another plane has gone down in America. This time it is a Cessna reported to be carrying ten off Alaska. I do not think I will be buying an airline ticket until the glitches in the system are fixed. 

Peace Through Carnage

Decades back, I watched a series about a Zulu king on Nashville Public Television. One statement by this warrior leader stuck with me. He reputedly said, "never leave an enemy behind alive". Israel never tried to implement this bloody notion in their war of defense in Gaza, but Trump has endorsed it in a foreign policy move nobody saw coming. The Romans put this strategy into effect against Carthage, and Carthage has not made trouble in a couple of thousand years. 

Such Revolutionary Thinking

Donald Trump wants the United States to take Gaza. I think he really means it, but even if he does implement his radical notion, what happens after Trump leaves the Presidency? If America has not fully ethnically-cleansed Gaza of the Gazans by then, does the project end or will the next leader continue to radically transform the face of the Middle East? You see the people now residing in Gaza have had their minds poisoned for generations by Islamo-Nazi Jew hate. Also, no other country really wants the Palestinians because they brought ruin to Lebanon, Jordan, and Kuwait when they welcomed the so-called refugees. Who wants to take in an angry swarm of murderous hornets, who have damaged every place they have been? I am all for Trump's plan for peace, but I also realize it will likely NEVER be completed. 

A Hideous Headline

MSNBC reported that Donald Trump "folded on tariffs". Nothing could be further from the truth when both Mexico and Canada bent to Trump's will and agreed to make their borders more secure to slow the flow of Fentanyl into America. This is not folding but victory!

A Trade War

President Trump has imposed tariffs on Canada, Mexico, and to a lesser extent, Red China. The United States can live comfortably without the goods of our neighboring countries, but China produces so much of what we need, from consumer goods to medicines. In spite of Beijing being our chief antagonist, America still needs what they make and probably will, even as Trump rushes to bring manufacturing back home because it is the (sometimes exclusive) source of what we require to survive for the foreseeable future. 

Gloating Over Tragedy

I see numerous folks on my Facebook feed posturing politically over recent air disasters and using them to indict President Trump and smear his supporters. These people are the bitterest bastards in America, upset that their socialist incompetents lost. What else would you expect though from a party that venerates death by pushing abortion and euthanasia? 

A Horrible Coincidence

The United States has rarely suffered from plane crashes over the last several decades, but then, had two in rapid succession. The second that occurred so close to the first has nothing to do with the Washington crash except time and proximity. Only a few days separated the disasters. Philadelphia is only about one hundred forty miles from the site of the first crash. It is terrible to sustain tragedy after tragedy, and clearly, America needs to make flying safe again. 

A Pure Meritocracy

I do not want an operation performed by anyone except the most competent. I would not want anyone but the best pilots guided by the most capable air traffic controllers flying my family. DEI has no place in society because it compromises safety and our very lives. 

Those Gloating Today

I have seen some online crowing that "no commercial plane crashes happened in America while Biden was President". Be that as it may, those contending this horrible event in Washington proved that Biden was actually competent, and now, it has been demonstrated, Trump is NOT should take long walks off short piers. Trump's team is not nearly fully in place, and his policies are just starting to be enacted. Those saying "maybe the air traffic controllers were worried about being laid off or wondering if they should take the buyout and could not fully focus on their jobs" should realize anyone doing that should never have held a responsible position in the first place. Trump is just beginning to repair or replace a very damaged system and must be given some time and grace to do what is needed. 

The Ratings Draw

If the Titans had Taylor Swift attending games in the town she grew up in and was involved romantically with a Tennessee player, there is a possibility that they would have been in the Super Bowl instead of Kansas City. It is amazing how many games a team wins if somehow they have all the close calls go their way. If the referees are for you, you are bound to win many contests. If controversial penalties go both ways, it is clearly random, but if they only redound to the benefit of a single franchise, it is rigged. 

Never a Doubt

Little girls and women who would never watch a football game now tune into Kansas City Chiefs contests to catch a glimpse of Taylor Swift in the luxury box and see what she is wearing. The NFL would have to pay Swift many millions of dollars to perform at a halftime show to draw in those non-football fan eyes, but secures that same audience more or less at no cost by having her root for her "boyfriend" and having her presence widely publicized at the Big Game. Then, the network will be able to charge even more for ads that were exorbitant before Taylor started boosting the ratings. Was there ever a way that the League would not have dome everything possible to see KC back in the Super Bowl?

Right now, there is much skepticism about and some resistance to Donald Trump. If you want to unify almost every American to support the returned President, do what some in Latin America are saying and seize US assets or even take Americans hostage to protest the hardball Trump is playing in order for you to take your criminals and lunatics back that you foisted on our country. The Chavista-types now being run by Maduro and his Fellow Travelers to the South ought to know America will kill you if you start to harm our interests or our people with Forty-seven in the White House. 

Some Revolutionary Thinking

Not every American President spouts off about taking Panama and Greenland. I had never heard any American leader speak of sending the Gazans to Egypt and Jordan. Trump is the opposite of a conventional thinker. With these recent ideas, some might even think Forty-seven is insane. 

Deal with Devil

Hamas is not and will never be "a partner for peace". It is instead an exterminationist force for terror that in its very charter calls on its adherents to kill every Jew. By dealing with these jihadists, Israel did not show any trust in a neighbor that might suggest future coexistence, but only the commitment of the Jewish State to "redeem the captive" as the Holy Book commands Jews to do. Netanyahu leads a nation and People of law and decency, while those he was forced to make an exchange with are the enemies of humanity. 

Wave of Future

Antioch High School in my hometown of Nashville had eschewed conventional metal detectors in favor of cutting-edge Artificial Intelligence to keep out weapons. It failed miserably. The technology may be there at some point, but it certainly is not ready yet. Old equipment at entry points may have saved lives, but Metro schools want to be early adopters of the next best thing. 

Nashville School Shooting

Another senseless murder has taken place in a school in my hometown, wherein a seventeen year old boy killed a sixteen year old girl he apparently did not even know and wounded two other people before turning the gun on himself. A manifesto he purportedly wrote is circulating online, and he was reportedly a devotee of Candace Owens and a Jew-hater. That being said, his motivation for the attack was his own, and Owens should not be blamed for it. 

Really Means It!

When Trump said he would "drain the swamp", he was not kidding. Have you ever seen anyone achieve more in such a short time as Forty-seven already has? He is eradicating evil before our very eyes. 

Least Worthy Champion

There were a number of national title winners in college football with unblemished seasons. You certainly can't say that about Ohio State who could not even defeat their arch-rival Michigan, which was having a decidedly down year. Not to mention that the Buckeyes lost to another conference member earlier in the season. This is a tarnished champion that probably could not beat the Wolverines if they played next week. 

An American Resurgence?

Will today mark a new "Era of Good Feeling"? There is reason for hope as we watch the second inauguration of Donald Trump. He is NOT a fool or senile, as some might characterize his immediate predecessor. Trump is not the Messiah either though, and I am beyond disturbed that he has just pitched his own brand of cryptocurrency along with a separate one his wife is plugging, and he is selling Trump label Swiss-made watches. Some would say the New York developer has been a scammer all along, with his worthless but costly Trump University scheme. I am not an empty-headed optimist but a realist, who says, "we shall see". 

Chinese Brain Washers

There is little virtue in TikTok. The Red Chinese have used it to stupefy our children and are keeping the data of users, perhaps to blackmail them in the future. Trump is going to restore the platform, but I do not know how that advances safety in the United States. 

Those Most Upset

Males who could not triumph in athletic endeavors competing against men really hate Trump's resurgence. They will not be able to pretend to be women much longer to enjoy success in sports. Those profiting from the sexual mutilation of children are frightened by Trump's rise. Folks who love the Ukraine above all else are disheartened that Trump rose like a phoenix. The ones most put off by Trump reclaiming the Presidency are the pro-baby killing abortion crowd. Finally, Americans who seek to impose Marxism here really despise Forty-seven because they know they will be thwarted during his administration. Greatness is sometimes measured by who opposes it, and in the instance of Trump, it is a badge of honor to have such loathsome foes. 

Israel Stands Alone

Some, including this author, thought (and certainly hoped) that Trump would "have Israel's back". In the first instance, where America backing the Jewish State against the terrorists who seek to exterminate the Jews has been tested, the incoming President simply continued Biden policy with pressure exerted on Israel to surrender to the demands of Hamas. This is disappointing to say the least. Netanyahu and the IDF are the only ones keeping Iran and their many jihadist proxies from realizing their fevered dream of erasing Israel. Trump will likely ultimately be better for Jews than Biden was but that certainly has not manifested yet. 

Such Sweet Sorrow

Biden delivered his farewell address last night. Joe showed himself to be a fantasist. What he described bore little or no resemblance to the America he has mismanaged for four years. The good news is a few days from now Biden will not remember what he said or what his failures have done to Americans. He has no idea what has been done in his now sullied named. 

The Trump Nominees

The United States Senate is comprised of sensible patriots, but only from one political party. The DemocRATS disgraced themselves and sullied the institution with their calumny launched at Pete Hegseth. Their gratuitous obnoxiousness is nothing new. We witnessed it before with their smears of Clarence Thomas and Brett Kavanaugh before they both were ultimately confirmed to join the Supreme Court. The DemocRATS conducting their inquisition are so shrill that the process is farcical. The Senate must give Trump his Cabinet as soon as possible, so that he may right our nation, regardless of the theatrics of the histrionic DemocRATS.

Forcing Israel's Hand

The Biden regime on its last legs in the final days is exerting enormous and unprecedented pressure on Israel to surrender in the Jewish State's war of self-defense for national survival. Secretary of State Blinken is the hatchet man threatening to immediately cut off all aid and abandon Netanyahu to the tender mercies of the multilateral bodies that hate Jews if Israel does not give away the store to facilitate the return of 33 "hostages", some of whom are already known to be dead. So with just a few days until the Trump cavalry arrives to change the direction of US policy to the favor of the Western-style democracy that was attacked, Netanyahu is being forced to swallow a loss that permits Hamas to survive, releases terrorists murderers with blood on their hands, and leaves the Philadelphi Crossing between Egypt and Gaza unguarded so that the terrorists are able to be resupplied and replenish their ranks of suicide soldiers. I only pray the fanatics in Gaza refuse the deal so that the IDF can finish them off where none are left to threaten innocents again. 

The Blame Shifters

The so-called political "leaders" in California know very little about preventing or fighting fires but are very skilled at avoiding responsibility for their incompetence. There have been failures at many levels, but evidently, the buck does not stop with anyone anywhere near Los Angeles. Gavin Newsom looks like a matinee idol as he pretends to be talking to Biden on his cell phone about defeating the flames. What a performance- the Governor deserves an Oscar- or a Razzy at least. And the Mayor, she runs from questions so fast, there could well be a place for her in the Senior Olympics. The two questions I have are: 1.)How could sane people out there have voted for such buffoons? And 2.)Will anyone be held to account for criminally negligent behavior in the run up to this tragedy that was mostly if not entirely preventable?
