Guns and Butter

The welfare programs of the 1960's did wonders for the American family. Prior to LBJ, almost every home in America where children were present had two parents, but good old Lyndon managed to take a huge number of fathers out of the equation. In this addition by subtraction, women lost a man to help keep children on the straight and narrow, but received checks from their government instead. Thank you President Johnson- you had a huge hand in making the United States what it is today.
