Just Nine Billion

To cut nine billion dollars of spending, it was like pulling teeth from an angry rhinoceros. In a nation with trillions in debt and around three and a half trillion dollars in annual Federal spending, the powers-that-be made it difficult to even have a tiny reduction in the bloated expenditure. We are not talking about paring back nine hundred billion or even just 90, but a mere nine billion dollars, or an amount that might be a tad more than Trump's net worth or a small fraction of Elon Musk's giant nest egg. The President is serious about saving the taxpayers money, but the Congress obviously and sadly is not.
