When Police Retreat

All sorts on chaos breaks out when police either abandon an area or are told to stand down and not protect the community. In such a circumstance, citizens are left to fend for themselves and vigilantes may rise up to maintain some degree of order. We do not need to defund law enforcement, but would actually benefit from more officers with better training. The deaths in Kenosha might have been avoided with a greater police presence and proactive policing to tamp down any riots or property destruction before they picked up steam.
