Juggling Some Chainsaws

I am watching a particular stock that surged yesterday on an announcement that they are restructuring. I still will not buy in because forty-six state attorneys general are suing this particular company (and several others) for price fixing. How does restructuring mitigate the damage the government going after a company does?
