To those voters Barack Hussein Obama is trying to lure with the bitter appeal to class envy, if government confiscates the earnings of those who have more than you, does what is taken from the rich somehow land in your pocket? The Internal Revenue Service certainly has the power to strip away wealth, but by impoverishing the wealthy, the less industrious are not made rich. Taking the ability to hire and create more jobs away from those in the private sector who formerly could create them does not lift the economy. Government making the rich poorer in no way makes the poor any richer.
