Breach of Trust

A patient enters a hospital seeking help, not to have life prolonging measures withheld and certainly not to be killed. The patient is ultimately vulnerable in many cases, due to ill health, essentially a prisoner of the medical facility. What is a patient and/or their family to do when the so-called care team assumes Providential judgement and determines life is no longer worth living? Who can place their faith in a doctor who when help is most needed, denies patients life sustaining care?
