The Roadkill Squirrel

To all those feeding Fido or Fifi an expensive organic doggie diet, most of our little angels are not as finicky as you think. It is one thing if your vet instructs you that you must feed your canine this particular way and quite another if you are just doing it to indulge your own ego. We had a dying dog a couple of decades back and a holistic vet who would literally sell us gold for his diet (a prescription pet food with gold as an ingredient). One day when we were leaving the practice one of the patients on the same expensive diet nearly got hit by a car trying to devour a flattened squirrel near the edge of the street. That poodle would certainly eat hand selected filet but would also go to town on a pile of cat poop.
