Years ago, with the Church Committee, the old Cold Warriors who had defended America from the evil empire of the expansionist Soviet Union, began to be replaced by political intelligence operators who were much more in the thrall of the Left. Many now in the spy game entered the intelligence services under the Presidency of Bill Clinton or that of Obama. Their first loyalty may not be to the nation or its sitting President, but to the political Left. Some of them really hate Trump and are determined to torpedo his Presidency.
