Bangladesh Manufacturing Tragedy
In the wake of more than one thousand workers being killed in a factory collapse, a fire burned yet another Bangladeshi plant with more casualties to the bottom line mentality that has sent orders and contracts to that developing nation. Dhaka seemingly suffers a Triangle Shirtwaist magnitude loss (or worse) every few months. No matter how cheap the merchandise, I would be hesitant to buy items made in Bangladesh until their workplace safety and work conditions are raised to acceptable levels.
