Value of Experience

If a society does not recognize the inherent worth of elders, then soon enough all life will be devalued. Those who debase the sanctity of life from unborn to those over a hundred years of age will soon find others to target as well.

"Death Panels" Exist

Sarah Palin was mocked by some for her characterization of "death panels" being included in Obama Care legislation. I am now certain that lives are already being intentionally truncated at the very least by hospitals arrogating that authority to themselves with sufficient legal cover to protect them from criminal liability. Civil recourse is hardly sufficient recompense for shortened lives.

Disabled a Target

My Father was without a doubt handicapped. Since early November 2011, he needed the assistance of others to live. Dad had accumulated sufficient resources that he would never necessarily have become a burden whose care was funded by the state. Father's death was deliberately hastened and surely he is not the only patient so targeted.

Hospitals were not established to orchestrate death. To have nutrition and hydration denied to those who have the most urgent need for it is beyond bestial. There are Terri Schiavo-type cases going unreported in US healthcare facilities.
