COVID Is Winning

If we are in a war against the novel Coronavirus, then this plague is winning. We have closed most of our nation's economy. We have run up debt to the extent that America will be left with a fiat currency. There is no vaccine in sight. Can we surrender to this sickness or at least plead for a truce?
