A Modest Proposal

President Trump is not Jonathan Swift and he really is interested in compromise just as long as it does not betray his most sacred promise to his voters. Trump is willing to give quite a bit, but the Democrats are absolutists. The only deal Democrats are ready to accept is total victory encompassing the mortification of the President. I do not know who will ultimately prevail, but I do know which side is reasonable.
