A Problem Growing

Have you ever noticed that certain states, particularly the high tax Northeastern ones, tend to be bleeding people? A lot of New Yorkers have moved to lower tax, warmer weather states. Unfortunately, some of these transplants bring Leftist sympathies with them and vote for the same policies that are ruining their home states.

A Growing Problem

In the Nashville I grew up in, a lot of people did not even lock their doors. Then we started to grow into a big city. Marcia Trimble was abducted in the mid-1970s and all of a sudden everyone was locking their doors. Now that Nashville is a growing metropolis, we hear about home invasions on our local news telecasts. Locking your doors no longer seems enough.

Some Misplaced Confidence

If you thought Donald Trump was going to deliver on his campaign promises (i.e. ObamaCare replacement and the Mexican border wall), you must be sorely disappointed so far. Maybe Trump is just a confidence man.

Hundred Days War

Donald Trump has a rather mediocre record at this point, not because Democrats have opposed him, that was to be expected, but because the GOP establishment has not pushed forward much of what Trump wants. Trump has blamed the Freedom Caucus to an extent, but it is not these Republican conservatives who have tripped Trump up. It is the elite moderate/centrists in his own party who will not expend any political capital to move Trumpism forward, but quite a bit to dial Trump back.

North Korea Bombs

Trump had better rid the world of North Korea's offensive capability and even more offensive leadership before North Korea develops and unleashes ICBMs against Hawaii and the US West Coast.

Same Old Style

The establishment hates Trump and wants him to fail. Trump is apparently not strong enough to overcome this.

A New Week

We enter a new week with all the chance of terror and war as last week. Isn't that refreshing!

Savior for France

France may end up with the type of leader who could have saved America- an authentic nationalist- not a directionless panderer, who had no intention of following through like Trump.

Never Even Been

I will not pretend to be an authority on hockey. I have been on skates twice in my life (once ice, the other roller, when I was a child). I have never even attended a hockey game. All that being said, I hope my hometown team defeats the teams from other towns as a pro championship for Nashville would be a first in any sport.

An Historic Series

My hometown hockey team just swept the (formerly) mighty Blackhawks. This means nothing going into the next round of the playoffs. By entering the final tournament with the worst record, Nashville has assured itself visitor status in any (every) upcoming series in 2017. The Predators are a decent hockey team but the odds are still stacked against them.

To Avoid War

There is no way to prevent a war when evil fanatics are determined to subjugate or destroy you. (See North Korea and Iran- these two states demonstrate by the brutal oppression of their own people what they would gladly do to the rest of the world.)

A Wicked Wednesday

A terror threat to disrupt France's election has been interrupted by several arrests. A former footballer has offed himself in prison on the day his former team is supposed to visit the White House to celebrate their last championship. All's right with the world (or maybe not so right).

Two for Tuesday

The Facebook murderer has done the right thing and killed himself. My hometown Nashville Predators took a three to none lead over the mighty Chicago Blackhawks.

An Unhappy Easter

Christianity is under threat of extinction in the lands where it was born. Islamist fanatics are committing a genocide against indigenous Christians. The putatively Christian West is doing almost nothing to help their Middle Eastern brethren.

Turkey's Hitler Minor

Erdogan will win his dictatorial power referendum. The budding despot has characterized his opponents as "Nazis". He has called Western Europeans who would not give him free reign to manipulate Turkish expatriates on European soil "Nazis". He allowed a terror-supporting flotilla to sail from his shores to breach the Israel's self-preservation blockade of Gaza and when Israel had to use lethal force to protect Jews trying to stop the Mavi Marmara terror ship, Erdogan called the Jews the aggressors. Erdogan sometimes refuses to permit the US to wage the war on terror from US bases on Turkish soil. Erdogan would not let the US attack Saddam Hussein from those Turkish bases. Erdogan allowed the sale of oil by the Islamic State. Erdogan always denies Armenian genocide was perpetrated by Turks in the twentieth century. There is a real and dangerous tyrant that has smashed dissent against him about to assume even more power in Turkey.

A Huge Wreck

We were caught in a two hour traffic jam on I-65 South in Bowling Green, Kentucky after a three car pileup. I saw smoke and flame shooting into the sky just as I passed the last exit before the scene of the wreck, but before I could react and pull off the highway. A life flight helicopter landed on the highway to transport some of the casualties. I pray everyone survives from the crash.

A Violent World

Pray for peace, but there is no peace, at this holy time for great faiths. The world is on fire and that fire seems to be its natural state.

The other day someone opened a package of salad and found a dead bat in it. Do you know how lucky they are? That bat could have been breathing!

Watching the United Airlines video, I am reminded of the "special treatment" reserved for Jews by the Nazis in World War II. Who in their right mind would book a flight with an air carrier who put a paying customer in the hospital, if there was any way to avoid it, including driving hours more to your destination?

It seems like the nationalists are being ushered out and pushed aside in the Trump administration for a bunch of internationalist interventionists.

Attacking the Sanctuaries

More grotesque attacks against innocents have just been staged by fanatic Sunni jihadists. Attacking Christian worshippers has become routine in much of the Arab world. In fact, Christian life is being extinguished across the Arab world. There is not enough being done in the Christian West to protect Christians in the Arab and broader Muslim world. The civilized world must protect the lives of religious minorities everywhere.

All Are Swedes

When an Islamist murderer plows over more than a dozen innocent people in Sweden, every civilized person becomes a Swede.The Swedish people become the New Yorkers of September 11, 2001. We are all in solidarity that fundamentalist fanatics must be stopped.

Brave New War

I am having a hard time understanding how Syrians killed with Sarin are more dead than those murdered with gunfire or barrel bombs. No doubt Assad is what W (Bush) called an evil-doer, but I do not think we need to start World War III over less than a hundred dead Syrians when several hundred thousand others had already been butchered with barely a peep.

In Our Time

I do not think there will be peace in our time. It is against the nature of too many people.

A chemical weapon attack has apparently occurred in Syria. If true, this is a war crime. I do not know if Assad launched the gas attack, but if he did, he must be held to account.

Stand with Russia

In the battle against Islamism, the US must stand with Russia. After today's train massacre, Donald Trump should express his solidarity in the fight against the barbarism of Islamic terror.

Dump Chris Wallace

I can not stand to watch FOX News Sunday because Chris Wallace attacks Republicans with Democrat and Soros talking points without ever holding the feet of Democrats to the fire. Wallace is a lying Leftist partisan.
