Matter of Polls

Apparently, President Trump is going to lose to any candidate the Democrats offer. That is what most polls have been telling us. Of course, the events that decide the actual election may not have even happened yet. Somehow, I do not think Beto or Castro could ever beat The Donald in any event.

An Appalling Campaign

Let's keep our borders open and give free healthcare to everyone, including undocumented migrants. That sounds pretty sustainable- right?

Clown Car Candidates

The Democrat Presidential candidates are so numerous that they could be the clown car act at the circus. I will never call any of these aspirants clowns though, that would be an insult to clowns.

Great Big Yawn

About half of the Democrat Presidential aspirants held a debate last night. I did not watch because I do not care. There is another debate tonight for the Democrats in their huge and unwieldy field of more than twenty and I won't be watching this one either. I don't need to be lied to, particularly two nights in a row.

Scared of Snakes

When a poisonous snake is less than ten feet from the path you have to walk on to enter your home, you are glad you have a sharp-eyed yardman. Thank you Mike for not only great lawn service but for maybe saving my four year old daughter's life.

At Least Trying

President Trump has been afflicted with Republicans like the late John McCain, Paul Ryan, and is now saddled with Mitt Romney. I have no doubt that if Trump could rule by edict, that he would do the right thing by the American people. Unfortunately, the President has to deal with turncoats in his own party and now, a Democrat House of Representatives that has thrown up a brick wall to everything Trump proposes to help America. These Democrats are glad to have Americans fail just to deny the President any accomplishment.

Willing to Overlook

Many who voted for President Trump are willing to overlook his failures (border wall and Iran) so long as the economy remains so strong. Heaven forbid there is an economic slowdown for Trump. If the US slides into recession, there is no way Trump will be reelected.

Those Truthful Politicians

How many politicians tell the truth? How many keep their promises, or even try to keep them? I think President Trump has tried to honor his pledges more than most officeholders but even he has failed. Trump at least is trying but if he fails to deliver, how much different is he than the other politicians who lie to our faces.

Tired of Winning

I am "tired of winning" the unabated flow of ill-educated foreigners that President Trump has welcomed into America. I am tired of the narcotics and disease they bring with them. I am tired of the Mad Mullahs of Iran humiliating the US while attacking our allies and now becoming so bold that they are going after American drones in international airspace. I do not know if America will survive all this "winning".

Trump All Bluster

Ann Coulter was one of President Trump's most fervent supporters. Then, Coulter described precisely the way in which the President let her, his own voters, and the nation down. I had hoped Coulter was wrong or at least premature in her judgement. It now seems as the President continues to puff but illegal aliens break through in unprecedented numbers and Iran marches forward with aggression and towards nuclear weapons that Ann Coulter was absolutely right. When Iran attacks US assets in international airspace, America must act militarily. If not, we are inviting escalating violence against us in the future and showing Iran that we are not serious about blocking their acquisition of atomic arms. Donald Trump is acting like a paper tiger at a time America needs our Churchill.

Mullahs Want War

A rational person has an abiding interest in self-preservation. End-time fanatics are not constrained by this. They welcome death. The Iranian people are enslaved by lunatics for whom the death is an inducement (as historian and orientalist Bernard Lewis so aptly put it). While America would like to avoid another war, Iran might not give the US any choice.

Inhibiting Our Freedom

Politicians have banned certain types of toilets, light bulbs, and now are increasingly banning plastic bags, all under the guise of protecting the environment. What these politicians are doing is not fighting global warming (which has never been caused by man) but denying us choice, which is robbing us of freedom. Any politician that votes to force consumers to buy a certain type of product or prohibits use of products that have been in our homes all our lives and generations before that should be voted out of office. These politicians are not champions of the environment but enemies of freedom.

Goodbye Dear Curry

Curry, the sweet Keeshond girl we were blessed to have in our lives since 2012, departed yesterday. We did not want to lose her with her courage, her humor, her devotion to her two boys Gizzy and Sage. Before her paralysis, she brightened any room, just by trotting in and nuzzling a knee. We will carry you in our hearts for the rest of our lives Curry.

One Poll Counts

The only poll that matters is the ballot count after an election. To borrow from Admiral Farragut, "Darn the polls, full speed ahead!"

The Lesson Learned

You would think appeasement could not happen again after the horrors of World War II. I think many countries are ready to feed Israel to Iran on a silver platter, so long as the Mad Mullahs leave them in peace. The problem is that once Shia Islam devours the Jewish State, Iran will keep right on marching to Paris, London, and beyond.

Lesson of Appeasement

If you and your friend are walking in Siberia and happen upon a hungry tiger, you might push your friend down to give the apex predator a tasty morsel and run like blazes. This might keep you alive a few more moments, but remember, once the tiger tastes blood, it is rarely sated.

Worse Than War

If Iran cut off access to the oil of the Middle East, it would cripple the economies of the world. If Iran blows the Jewish State off the face of the earth, it would result in its own destruction. War is a terrible thing but some things are worse.

Pray for Curry

Our brave, sweet little Keeshond girl stopped eating yesterday. Before we rescued her, she lost her front teeth chewing though a chain to be free. In the seven years we have known and loved her, she has had cancer four times and a stroke, and lost the ability to walk last year. This breed can be a nightmare on walks, refusing to turn to go home or deciding to take a rest in an intersection. Curry never did any of that. She was a pleasure to walk and is a joy to have as part of the family. Please pray for Curry.

A Stalking Cat

Donald Trump has tried to drive the rats out of Washington. Naturally, the rats want the cat chased off. I am still rooting for the cat.

Rat World Awakens

I wonder if there are more rats on Skid Row in LA or in Washington DC. I would say it is a tossup (except the DC rats walk on two legs).

Democrats Love Capitalism

Democratic bigwigs have demonstrated time and time again that they adore capitalism so long as it is of the crony variety and results in kickbacks for them or their foundations (that tend to mostly benefit them). The Clintons and Joe Biden are into this type of crony capitalism and it has enriched their families mightily.

Wagon Without Wheels

Socialism takes away from the incentive to achieve. It is admirable to outwork others to have more than they do. Socialism is a system of indolence that promotes mediocrity and ultimately failure.

Pulling the Wagon

Socialism is the little engine that can't. If you are going to give everyone the fruits of the labor of a few, pretty soon the few wise up and quit working so hard. Everyone wants the smooth ride in the wagon, but no one wants to be the one pulling it in socialist states. Why should the sweat of your brow pay for someone else on the dole? The logical response is to go on the dole too and let somebody else pay your way.

For the Memories

There will almost certainly be no D-Day veterans left at the hundredth anniversary. There were already very few left at the seventy-five year commemoration. All these troops did was save the world. It is incredibly important to preserve the recollections of the remaining survivors who were more than eyewitnesses to history. They made the history that saved our liberty and our lives.

Years ago, this blog was demonetized by Google, just as it was starting to gain traction. The Lords of the Internet are fine with any opinion so long as it conforms to their own. I guess I was lucky not to have to rely on earnings from the web for my daily bread, but have no doubt, the forces that control the world wide web are dark, menacing, and firmly in the radical camp. I was sickened to hear Crowder has been demonetized from YouTube, but was not surprised. Those who can not compete in the battle of ideas stifle the better argument when they have the power. In information technology, the Left has control of the flow of information. If President Trump does not break their monopoly, he will not be reelected.

The Perfect Leader

The perfect leader does not exist. Every single one of us has feet of clay. We are all sinners. No matter how great the abilities of a given individual are, it is certain that person has imperfections to go along with their strengths. In fact, some people blessed with fantastic gifts are cursed with an overweening pride because they realize just how exceptional they are. Certainly, President Trump has a huge ego to match his "huge" accomplishments. Remember the works that Trump does as President are not meant to elevate him but to elevate you.

Grace of Leadership

President Trump is a flawed and fallible human being like everyone else. He is an invited guest of the United Kingdom.He has conducted himself with great dignity on this visit (and incidentally in Japan just before the Britain trip). Donald Trump is not perfect but he is a great representative for the high ideals America represents.

No Longer Falling

President Trump is such a great leader and construction magnate that he landed in London and now London Bridge is no longer falling down. You show me another world leader who could do that!

Fanning the Flames

Democrats have claimed that they are all about bringing people together. They then spout lies about President Trump being a hater to tear the nation apart. President Trump is not a "Nazi", a "racist", or someone who despises gay people. By claiming Trump is all these things, these liars are throwing gasoline on a fire. They are willing to spark chaos to harm the President and this ultimately harms the nation.

The Impeachment Trap

I believe fair-minded people will be just as disgusted by attempts to impeach a President who has committed no crimes as they were with the hoax that Judge Kavanaugh was a rapist. The anti-Trump faction will not let go of the collusion/obstruction hoax because with the outstanding job our President is doing, they have no other way to attack Trump. This cabal to oust the President will ultimately fail and hopefully those orchestrating it will lose their power.
