Too Much Prosperity

The Democrat elite and all too often, the Federal Reserve want to save America from too much prosperity. Never forget what South Carolina Democrat US Senator Ernest "Fritz" Hollings said when the Republicans finally turned back the Democrat-caused recession. Fritz blurted out what many Democrats thought then and all Democrats in positions of power believe today, "There's too much consuming going on" (unless of course, it is them and the cronies that keep them in high cotton doing the consuming).

The Credible Perjurer

The "Rat" is testifying before Congress. The Democrats thought it would be nice to bring in a witness who pleaded guilty to lying to Congress to smear President Trump while he is abroad trying to save the world from the menace of a nuclear North Korea. The mendacity of these Democrats is only matched by that of their "star witness".

Not Politically Focused

When your child is ill, nothing else matters very much. A couple days ago I was focused on the Leftists tilting the movie awards broadcast I refused to watch against the heartland and President Trump. With our little girl trying to recover, I could hardly care about any great geopolitical events. My only concern is that she get well.

The Best Picture

I will not be watching the Oscars tonight. I have not paid to see a movie in a theater in years. I am not a member of Netflix. I watch movies, classics like Casablanca. I do not partake of much of today's entertainment. Almost all the big wheels in movies and music despise my values and the people I voted for, including President Trump. It is the ninety-eight percent of performers and their retinue that are Leftists, perverts, and drug addicts or any combination thereof that give the two percent of decent actors, musicians, singers, and theater people a bad name. The awards shows tend to be a giant "up yours" to normal Americans. They have turned me off, so I turn them off.

Stirring Up Conflict

It never ceases to amaze me how really stupid people attempt to instigate fights that if the conflict does start, they are bound to lose. The Leftists who say they are going to take away our guns and our right to defend our families are an example of picking a fight that is bound to be lost. You see the same kind of uneven struggle taking shape with the Left trying to stifle the speech of the Right from the world wide web and onto colleges and universities. A few big mouths will not be able to silence the voice of the common folk. The Left is pining for the fight. Let us see if they are dumb enough to start it.

Create More Dependency

The Democrats who are pushing to legalize the recreational use of marijuana want a public whose members have lost the ability to be self-reliant and are therefore dependent on government. Tell me an activity the average person can perform better under the influence of pot than they can when they are clear headed? These Democrat politicians want you stupefied and dependent on them!

They Remain "Woke"

Those who supported the Chicago actor who staged his own lynching drama and those who attacked the Covington Catholic boys remain the cutting edge in real hate. They despise the President, his supporters, white folks who are not self-loathing, and the United States as it was founded. It must be mighty hard to stay that mad all the time at a nation so great that people actually risk their lives trying to sneak into it.

Legend of Cortez

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is proof that you can be incredibly stupid and dangerous at the same time. She is an ignoramus but because she has ascended to Congress, must be taken seriously (as a threat to the way of life America's founders intended). Those who go along with her insanity must be taken as the danger they are as well because their votes negate the franchise of clear-thinking people. One good thing about her though is that she is exposing just how radical the left truly is in America today.

Lauren Silver Mandel

My first cousin Lauren Silver Mandel has left us all too soon at sixty-three. She was one of the very few folks you encounter who are just as beautiful inside and out. She leaves behind three remarkable children, Jared, Evan, and Whitney, and her wonderful husband Dr. Steve Mandel. Her memory is and will always be a blessing. It is darker here now but the heavens shine more brightly.

A Hate Hoax

An actor who I never heard of apparently paid a couple of extras from a show I have never watched to pretend to attack him and then claimed he had been assaulted by supporters of our President. There was no hate crime directed against this performer but this actor seems to hate President Trump and his supporters quite a bit.

Against the Wall

What is it that Democrat leaders have against a secure border? Do they not realize drugs, criminals, and even terrorists can come across at will if we do not have physical barriers to entry and a well-regulated process of careful inspection for everything and everyone being admitted to the country? Do they not realize that they not only imperil us but themselves and everyone they love by making it so easy to sneak across the Southern border?

Within Our Reach

Did you or your progenitors come to the United States to collect checks from the government? Did they or you come here hoping that America would turn as socialist as the old Soviet Union or was that what they were running to escape?

A Dangerous Fantasy

Those that delude themselves that socialism could work in America need to think about this. What rational person is going to keep working hard when seventy to ninety percent of what they earn will be transferred to the shiftless and lazy? They will have the fruit of their labor stripped from them and their families. Socialism is evil and wrongheaded. The plans of the new Democrats would destroy our prosperity and our nation.

The Middle Finger

The Democrats did not send President Trump a budget. They are giving the middle finger to the President, his supporters, and all those who believe in America as the nation was founded. Trump's opponents are happy to keep the border open, because a porous border ensures plenty of anchor babies and a remaking of the United States in the image of Cuba or Venezuela.

Walling Off America

Even if President Trump succeeds in building every inch of the wall at the Southern border exactly as he wants it, America will still welcome more immigrants, including refugees, than any other single country in the world. President Trump still wants people from other countries entering the United States if they are able to perform jobs that few Americans are able to do. President Trump wants to protect persecuted Christians who were not welcomed in any significant numbers by the Obama administration. America, even with the Trump wall, will live up to being the haven for refugees that we previously had been.

The "Real" Americans

The real American tends to be a mutt. Americans tend to have ancestors from several different nations, sometimes on different continents. Even the Mayflower families now have family trees that incorporate Africans, Asians, and Latin Americans. You see we really love the legal immigrant. They are part of virtually all our families, including the Scottish, German Trump clan.

Stealing Other Cultures

Those claiming "cultural appropriation" are in love with grievance. They want to be angry at something or are already mad at just about everything. I have never seen an immigrant from anywhere mad at me for enjoying the fare of their native country when I patronize their businesses here or abroad. I think most people from anywhere are grateful that folks from elsewhere appreciate the culture and cuisine of their former home countries.

America's Fifth Column

Agitators who despise our nation from the founding infest universities, the press, the entertainment industry, and are now even in our own Congress. These people make common cause with the street thugs of ANTIFA and the instigators of Black Lives Matter to bring down not just President Trump and law enforcement, but our very way of life. They do not want America great again but want to weaken us to see the greatest engine ever known to advance human prosperity and freedom that is the United States shut down.

Talk About Privilege

There are privileged classes in our free enterprise system. The wealthy in our system are usually those who have worked for it and sometimes those who inherit. In either case, they do not hoard their money. They invest or spend it, creating prosperity for others. In socialist or communist countries, there are very small privileged classes consisting of a leader and his cronies. Those trying to pit the rest of America against the so-called "rich" want to rob the prosperous,take opportunity away from you, and monopolize privilege and wealth for themselves.

Inane Show Trial

The Democrats in the US House are making fools of themselves with their Matthew Whitaker hearing. The soon to be departing Acting US Attorney General is showing the Democrats as the power-mad dolts that they are. I can not imagine any fair-minded person voting Democrat after this Stalin-style spectacle.

Jihad Against Trump

Islamist terrorists are not the only folks trying to destroy our President. Democrats in Congress are mounting endless and unprecedented investigations against President Trump. These Democrats are not interested in helping the American people improve their lives. They are only focused on bringing down the President, his family, and his business associates.I wonder how quickly the American people will tire of them being after him instead of for us?

Reaching for Compromise

President Trump struck a conciliatory note in the State of the Union address. His efforts to reach across the aisle will be summarily rebuffed. The other side does not want to work with Trump for the good of the American people. They only want to cause Trump to fail, without a moment's consideration for how much undermining the President will harm the people.

Suffering Universal Racism

A moron serving as a college professor just called Mary Poppins racist. In the eyes of many Leftists virtually everything is racist. When you call everything racist, you dilute the power of the word. By broad brushing so much as racism, you obscure the real and dangerous racism that does exist.

Virginia Deserves Better

Racist or rapist- that is the question. Does the Commonwealth have to continue misrule by the governor who somehow thought it was Okay to appear in blackface, or will they replace the racist with a fellow now being accused of having committed a sexual assault back in 2004? I say Virginia needs better choices than this.

Excuse to Party

I went to a pretty lavish Super Bowl bash once. It was alright. We ate like sultans, drank like judges, and even watched a few seconds of some game on the big screen. The football was absolutely incidental to the enjoyment.

A Moment's Consideration

A moment's consideration is less than the abortion pushers give to the lives of babies. The callousness of the baby killing crowd came out this week in Virginia and those with a shred of morality left did not like it.

Utility companies in the areas of the US that are freezing must be raking in profits from natural gas. Nashville has not been as cold as many places but our gas bill looked like rent.
