The New Censors
Facebook, Twitter, and Google have become bastions of progressivism, hunting down speech that runs counter to their Leftist ethos. Corporations pulling their advertising from people and programs that do not tow the liberal line are also attacking freedom.

Stand with Ingraham
I will no longer support those businesses that remove their advertisements from the Laura Ingraham FOX show. It is an obscenity that those trying to strip us of our most fundamental rights already have large American corporations dancing to their sour tune. Back those who stand with liberty including Laura Ingraham.

Agree with Coulter
By not fulfilling his campaign promises, particularly those on immigration, President Trump has pulled the rug from under his staunchest supporters. The brilliant Ann Coulter had been one of Trump's most ardent backers but even she has had to comment recently that Trump has not stuck to his guns. Coulter apparently now hopes our President loses the 2020 nomination to a primary challenger to the right.

The Pole Numbers
Maybe Stormy Daniels should run for office. A pole dancer might surprise in the polls.

Not Even Attractive
After watching Sixty Minutes, I find it remarkable that Trump even found Stormy Daniels attractive. The First Lady looks way better than the pornographic actress ever could.

Great Big Yawn
I watched Sixty Minutes interview Stormy Daniels and I still couldn't care less. I didn't think Trump had a pristine character when I voted for him in the general election, but realized Hillary's virtue was even less. In the primary I proudly voted for virtuous conservative Ted Cruz and would certainly have rather had him carry the GOP mantle in the Presidential race.

Food for Thought
The GOP that controls both the US Senate and House would never have permitted a Democrat President to pass such a monstrous budget. Only a President of their own party could could have presided over this mess. Republicans would never have allowed Hillary Clinton as President to pass this unbelievably large spending plan.

Looming Trade War
In the trade war with Red China, ultimately the US may win, but the US consumer will not. Obviously, US consumers will pay more because they will be forced to buy goods made with something other than Communist slave labor.

America's Bloated Budget
President Trump should veto the budget Congress is sending him. It is a slap in the face to him and his voters as it does not fund the border wall, yet it continues to fund abortion mill Planned Parenthood and begins funding CDC research into "gun violence" which has to be read as part of the effort to overturn the Second Amendment. The budget Congress has proposed is far worse than any government shutdown.

Superlative Texas Police
The authorities in Texas tracked down the Austin area bomber. The bomber detonated a bomb and killed himself to avoid capture. Great work by and three cheers for Texas law enforcement.

The Texas Bomber
It is beyond alarming that authorities in Austin have asked people to stay inside. Whatever resources are necessary, this bomber needs to be stopped right away. Communities can not live under that kind of cloud of fear.

Most Beautiful Day
I have experienced some unforgettable lows in my life. Seeing my daughter born was a highlight that overwhelms all the bad, before and since.

Terminate Trump Probe
Robert Mueller has wasted enough taxpayer money on an investigation premised on a lie generated by Team Clinton (including high-ranking members of Obama's Justice Department and FBI). Trump-Russia collusion is a phantom that was never real. What has been and is real is the persecution of a number of folks who happen to be related to our President or have been known to have supported Trump's Presidential campaign. Mueller needs to be sent packing back off to private life.

The New David
The men's basketball team at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County has shocked the sporting world by knocking of the formerly-number one rated University of Virginia Cavaliers. No such overwhelming underdog has ever taken down such a hugely favored Goliath. Congratulations Retrievers- you are now on the basketball map.

Really Dangerous Construction
The Florida bridge disaster suggests poor engineering, poor construction (including inferior material), or both. Though it is undeniably an inconvenience, until a bridge is demonstrated to be absolutely safe, traffic has to be detoured around it and pedestrians must not be permitted in the area the bridge could fall.

Young and Ignorant
The students that participated in the school walkout against guns are props, pawns, and useful idiots to puppet masters who despise natural rights. These students should have to answer how stripping the rights of the law-abiding ever stopped those with criminal intent from completing their evil aims?

Russia Is Accused
Russia may have poisoned people in Great Britain. I do not know if this rises to The War of Jenkin's Ear type of provocation, but sometimes great conflagrations start with what seem to be small sparks.

Good Riddance Tillerson
Our swamp-dwelling Secretary of State has been shown the door. Rex Tillerson allowed Clinton holdovers and Obama ideas to dominate the State Department. Our foreign service under Mike Pompeo will drain the swamp and make Foggy Bottom reflect American values.

The Unending Winter
I had to deice and scrape the car this morning after a half inch of snow. It melted during the course of the morning, but I sure could use some of that global warming Al Gore is always ranting about.

The Tariff Trap
In instances where trade is fair, I am a free trader. Tariffs raise prices for consumers. Tariffs start trade wars. When trade is fair, tariffs are an awful idea. I think President Trump is correct on these tariffs because trade has been anything but fair, particularly with Red China manipulating their currency, engaging in widespread industrial espionage and theft of intellectual property, and dumping in an effort to destroy US industries, particularly strategic ones.

The Easter Bunny
Rabbits don't stand much of a chance around here. We have four Keeshonden who like to supplement their kibble with some extra protein. If the bunny makes to the house to the east, there are two Goldendoodles to contend with. If the rabbit escapes to the east, there is a Jack Russel. Behind us, two coonhounds await. Next to these big dogs, the married opthamologist and anesthesiologist have six little yappers, any of which is more than a match for a bunny. If the rabbit, somehow escapes all the dogs, the hawks and coyotes are waiting for him. If the rabbits make it to Easter, it will be a miracle.

Snow on Easter
Forty years ago (or so), when I was in elementary school, we had several inches of snow on Easter Sunday. By Monday, the temperature in Nashville rose to seventy degrees and it all melted. A few years back, as a middle-aged adult, I saw snow again on Easter here in Nashville, and it remained cold enough that it lasted on the ground for a few days. Easter does not always herald spring in the "sunny South".

March Madness Time
This is a great time of the year for basketball fans with March madness starting. The rest of the year I guess we just have to suffer with generalized insanity.

A Technical Foul
You know a coach is right and a referee wrong when the ref immediately dishes out a technical on the coach when the coach starts to complain about the call. Maybe, one day a robot will replace game officials.

A Sporting Chance
Why are officials in "real sports" calling games with all the accuracy of professional wrestling referees?

None Too Subtle
Donald Trump and the mainstream media have a "hate-hate" relationship. The President spoke at the "Gridiron Dinner" to the folks he despises that despise him. The event drew about as many laughs as a cancer diagnosis.

A Giant Shrimp
I ordered this oxymoron once. It was a delicious appetizer before my salad, steak, and loaded baked potato. Unfortunately, giant shrimp carry a giant price tag. Dad ordered a sandwich in Denmark that had a thousand tiny shrimp on it. It cost less and tasted just as good.

Last Real American
Ronald Reagan was the last unapologetic patriot to sit in the Oval Office. Reagan was the last President to keep his word. Reagan did not say "read my lips , , , no new taxes", and then raise taxes. Reagan faced a hostile Democrat Congress and did not buckle but made the Democrats buckle. Reagan did not simply face the menace of terror but had to contend with the expansionist Soviet empire and defeated it. Donald Trump is a mere shadow of the authentic conservative Ronald Reagan who many were hoping Trump would strive to emulate.

Not My President
I never thought for a second that Donald Trump was a Constitutional conservative. Ted Cruz is a Constitutional conservative. Rick Santorum leans that way. Trump is a New York liberal with a few small government ideas about lower taxes and less regulation. Going after the rights of the law-abiding to curtail law-breakers as Trump is attempting on guns is not something a Constitution conservative would ever do.
