This morning the female BBC news presenter asked Jerusalem's mayor Nir Barkat if his call for Israelis to carry guns was "proportionate" since they are only being attacked with knives. I am not kidding. Not withstanding that one of the bus attacks that led to Jewish deaths involved an Arab using a gun, this moronic or immoral newsreader apparently thinks it is alright that Muslims are being incited by their leaders to carve Jews up like salami (or shawarma).

Russia Bombing Terrorists?

Russia has launched an air campaign in Syria. The Russians say they are attacking terrorists. Western media report that the attacks are not aimed at the Islamic State or al-Qaeda but at opponents of the Assad regime. It is certain that Russian planes are doing great damage. I have not yet seen convincing evidence one way or the other as to who the Russians are actually targeting,
