When I was young, I loved steak and potato, particularly tots or crowns. I despised broccoli, cauliflower, Brussels sprouts, and snap peas (except sugar snap peas which I enjoyed). In middle age, I find I do not mind eating foods that I used to deplore. I also think I tolerate spicy foods better now that so many taste buds have died off with the passage of time. At least at this point in my later life, I can tolerate a variety of flavors that years back I would not eat. You have a chance to expand your horizons even as the hands of time grasp your windpipe.
