Not Our King

The United Kingdom has a brand new shiny monarch, except that the new ruler already looks a bit frayed and weary and is already past retirement age in just about every country. Many Americans seemed to gush over the proceedings, and I will grant the British are pretty good at pomp, but didn't we fight a revolution, so we don't have to pay any heed to what the English do? Now though, if we care, we can truly declare "Charles in charge", even if it is of a fading country that long since lost its empire.
