On Medical Error

Mistakes in hospitals are horrible, but people are fallible and some foul-ups are inevitable. What is not certain to happen is the choice some healthcare institutions are making to impose "futile care" when a patient or that individual's representative(s) want life-sustaining care continued. One course is accidental, the other is a deliberate decision to allow a patient no chance for survival.
