Who Actually Attacked?

Israel has a massive, well-equipped modern military. Before October 7, the Jewish State was content to shelter behind walls and fences while a genocidal enemy lurked just on the other side. The IDF even deployed the world's first area missile defense called "Iron Dome" to mitigate the need to enter Gaza to quell what otherwise would be murderous attacks from above. It was not a pleasant way to live for Israelis, but it seemed to obviate the need for Israel to go on the offensive to deter Hamas. All that changed when barbarians tore through that fence to conduct a merciless massacre of every Jew they could, men, women, children, and even babies in their cribs, and at least one ripped from her mother's womb. Then terrorists did what the always do. They fled back to Gaza to hide behind the own civilians. This is not a war Israel started. This is not a war of choice. The struggle in Gaza is a war for the very survival of the Jewish State.
