Hamas Cease Fire

While most of the world demands the party that was attacked on October 7 cease fire, it is the side that did the attacking that could end the war in the Middle East instantly. If that terrorist organization released all the hostages and laid down arms, it is likely that Israel would not prosecute ordinary members and might even exile leaders rather than prosecute them. The Jewish State would likely accept a demilitarized Gaza with international, possibly Egyptian, administration with a great degree of autonomy for the Gazans, and the verifiable abandonment of weapons as the only non-negotiable aspect. Israel has always sought peace. It is their neighbors that have not permitted that.
