The New Reality

Large swathes of formerly Ukrainian territory may never be controlled by Kyiv again. The Ukraine may not be fully taken by Putin's forces, but the Ukrainian military is not strong enough to completely evict the Russians. Putin might be excluded from the community of nations from now on, but I doubt he will give back his military gains, but rather declare them to be part of Russia or a new polity aligned with Moscow under some puppet leader.
