Wall of Lies

The Obama administration is constructing false scenarios all over the place to advance a socialist agenda while maintaining popularity in the polls. The unduly rosy picture of the bank stress tests both heartens investors, fueling the current suckers' rally and denies the control economy aspect prevalent in the structure of the Obama agenda. Saying one has no intention of nationalizing banks, means very little if by converting the government's preferred shares to common stock in any coming crisis (the possibility of which the stress tests deliberately minimize), the banks are effectively nationalized with existing common shareholders position so diluted by the government intervention that they have no control of the operations of the bank and their shares are devalued (presuming any value remains). An investor in auto maker Chrysler was philosophical about the central planning takeover-should I call this the Obama five year plan, as the wits in Moscow called their strangling of enterprise and initiative?-he mused, "It is better to have one percent of something than one percent of nothing." This is self-evident, but our founding fathers must be turning over in their graves that so many free men so willingly gave up economic liberty and self-determination.

On the March

Two forces are thriving at the moment. Jihad, from the Taliban surge in Pakistan to resurgent bombings in Iraq, across other parts of the globe where Islamism rears its violent head, and socialism which dominates Europe and is through Obamism, capturing America. Citi and Bank of America may need more capital despite an already $45 billion bailout. Chrysler is, as was predicted here, going to be taken over largely by the United Auto Workers, and GM may well be on the way to nationalization. The Obama administration imposes the socialism and hardly even pays lip service to blocking aggressive expansionist Islam. With the Islamic bomb of Pakistan potentially falling into the hands of the Taliban and al Qaeda and with Iranian fanatics rushing to produce their own atomic weapon, the world is in as perilous state as in any time since World War II. And with Obama overturning free market capitalism and supplanting it with an admixture of Marx and neo-fascism and using each crisis for tactical advantage, we have no prospect of recovery.

Essentially Preposterous Agenda

The Environmental Protection Agency today announced its intention to regulate six so-called greenhouse gases. If you are reading this, you will be subject to regulation by this new measure. You breathe, you exhale, your exhalation contains carbon dioxide. Carbon dioxide is the most plentiful substance on earth. We are all carbon-based lifeforms. We are all damaging our precious globe simply by being, according to our power-mad administration which will use the new rules to drive up the cost of energy, destroying industry and making travel almost cost-prohibitive. Obama will make the EPA into the "energy pilfering arm" of government. "BO" (as in body odor) is hellbent on destroying our way of life as we have known it and preventing any prospect of recovery or prosperity.

Obamites Bless Castro

Barack Hussein Obama's minions went to Cuba to sing mass murdering dictator Fidel Castro's praises. These members of the Congressional Black Caucus have absolved Castro of his crimes and are talking about reconciliation between our democracy and the totalitarian regime that is so bad that daily, people risk their lives on the sea to try and escape. Since they loved Cuba so much, these Democrat dolts should just have stayed in Havana.

Power Mad Democrats

President Obama fired the head of General Motors-this is extraordinary. Unprecedented actions continue with Barney Frank pushing the innocuous-sounding Pay for Performance Bill of 2009 through his committee. This bill will allow the government to set salaries for those employees of companies that accept or have accepted bailout money (government aid). Not merely a handful of executives would be subject to government limits on pay but virtually any worker. The lesson companies must take from this is do not accept government aid. If you dance with the devil, he always names the tune. Even if companies decline assistance or even are in sound financial health, these power-mad Democrats may extend their reach and dictate their salaries as well. Obama glides smoothly down the slope of restricting liberty with his party cheering each socialist overreach and his mass media amen choir expediting rather than investigating which used to be the job of journalists. Any critic of the new Marxism is turned into an object of derision and nothing stands in the way of an unalterable decline.

The Radical Idea

If Obama and his Democrats are able to demonize enough businesses, they believe the American people will gladly embrace socialism. Government causes the crisis we find ourselves in with regulations against "redlining", forcing bank to issue sub-prime loans which the borrowers could never pay back. Government oversight is so lax that Madoff criminality ensues on a different front, but to Obama and his minions, free enterprise is the culprit. Government washes its hands, absolves itself and passes the buck to those who actually built prosperity for the nation. This is all part of an effort to alter America irrevocably. If we are lucky, we may become a relatively benign socialist country with only slightly less civil liberty-only a few of our God-given rights stolen. If Obama is as determined as I think he is-we are on our way to a Trotskyesque, Marxist enterprise with very few freedoms preserved and very few places to flee. "BO" is an implacable opponent of the values of the Founding Fathers, and there may not be enough opposition in the Congress to stem the leftist tide.

The AIG Pretext

Barack Hussein Obama is using the reprehensible conduct of a small division of the American International Group as the small end of the wedge to pry apart capitalism. He is using a handful of examples of bad conduct as an indictment against the free market. "BO" will use these abuses to overturn our nation as we have known it, but only if we let him. If conservative Republicans and Blue Dog Democrats from swing districts can unify and hold out, in less than two years, a more conservative House of Representatives may be in place to thwart His Highness for what will hopefully be the last two years of the one-term Obama Presidency.

Obama's Evil Doers

I watched Jay Leno last night, something I had not done since a homosexual character called Ross or Russ the intern said the sushi being served tasted like a.s (expletive expurgated) while visiting the Japanese guest house at the Utah winter Olympics. I don't find Leno and his score of writers funny-except for his warped appearance caused by his gargantuan chin. I tuned in because "BO" was coming on. Obama was masterful at deflecting blame while saying the buck stopped here. The unfunny comedian who makes far more than almost any Wall Street bonus and Barack denounced the AIG greedsters in particular and speculators in general. Our President is a vicious class-envy promoting redistributionist and the supposedly avuncular talk show host was more than willing to try and make Obama look good-even at that, Obama managed to insult retarded people with his remark comparing his lack of bowling skills to Special Olympics. Obama's Tonight Show segment was disheartening, but three less public Obama initiatives should terrify. 1.) Obama is purported to be in the process of disarming our well-trained commercial pilots who are the last barrier to a repeat of 9/11. 2.) Obama is reported to be planning to release some of the Gitmo prisoners onto US streets, making a domestic terrorist atrocity almost inevitable. 3.) Obama sent the bloodthirsty Iranians a message that a new era of relations between the US and the Islamic Republic was coming-evidently based on "mutual respect". These are the Iranians who publicly hang homosexuals, murder minorities (such as practitioners of the Baha'i faith), and who have made it a national goal to wipe Israel off the map. Welcome to the rule of the anti-capitalist appeaser-the worst of all worlds Presidency.

Riding It Down

I used to have plenty with little to worry about/ Now, I have little with plenty to worry about/ I see with great clarity that this is Obama prosperity/ Barack even attacks charity/ He believes there should be no disparity/ That we will all share misery equally/ The "Great Leveler" will knock us all down/ Where we come crawling on this new beggars' ground/ We who built and saved/ We who gladly gave/ Obama will hound us to the grave/ This is, after all, the way Marxists behave.

The Obama Depression

The current economic turmoil may not have started under Obama, but he has done nothing to improve the situation and everything to capitalize on it. Obama bears heavy responsibility for the GSE (government-sponsored entity) mess of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac being the second largest recipient of their lobbying money when he sat in the Senate. Only Christopher Dodd received more and he was in the Senate much longer to get it. Obama thwarted more regulation of these bad loan mills and fought to extend credit to the uncreditworthy from the time he was a community organizer on-his mindset and manipulations put us in this sinking ship. From the beginning of the Presidential campaign, McCain should have pounded Obama and the Democrats on their attempts to prevent more regulation which sadly succeeded and their readiness to overlook outrages such as Franklin Raines more than one hundred million dollars in compensation when he chaired Fannie Mae. In the event, this misfeasance was barely mentioned, and when it was, McCain's attempts at educating the public about this issue were half-hearted. He never really tried to close the sale out of fear that if he hammered Obama too hard or focused too much attention on Raines, he might be perceived as or called a racist as both these scoundrels happen to be black. It is a shame McCain was feckless, because the country he could have led is now in the worst crisis her economy has faced since the Great Depression, repeating and magnifying many of FDR's mistakes. Dear pater, who is old enough to remember, says this is worse because even before 1929's Black Tuesday, Americans lived in lean times and could navigate leaner ones. Today's Americans are, in Dad's opinion, soft-in many cases, fat and spoiled to boot-and in his perception, are falling into the abyss of the new travail from higher heights and are not well-equipped to deal with vicissitudes the way the largely agrarian Americans who had recently turned back the Kaiser and defeated the Huns were. If you can't be without video-games for a few days or cable, try to survive a week on stale bread and beans. Your grandfathers did, and you may have to with our young Marxist leader determined to change us into his just socialist utopia.

Designed to Fail

Today a stress test is being imposed on major banks by Obama's government. It is purportedly meant to test the viability of these institutions in a worst case scenario. This is actually going to be the rationale the government will use to nationalize these major players even if they call it something else. The banks simply won't be deemed survivable without the strong hand of government behind them (controlling them). Cut-backs in Federal payments to medical providers and hospitals were also included in the Obama's plan. Care rationing is on the way. The "Great Leveler" is on the march again.

The Great Leveler

Barack Obama will address Congress and the nation tonight. He will not spout Marx or give a Castro lecture but less overtly, his aims are virtually the same. He is a classic redistributionist at a time when our country nears an unrecoverable tipping point. The opposite of what was passed in the non-stimulus bill and his proposed higher taxes-this is what letting the Bush tax cuts expire means after all-was what was needed to restore confidence and start to reverse the decline. The only questions are: Are Obama's actions to force our descent into the hell of central planning and a command economy deliberate or is he so ill-equipped for the job that he knows no better? Never has a street agitator risen so fast and taken a nation down so far. Fred Hampton wins.

Pretend to Care

Arnold Schwarzenegger displayed his lack of conviction as a virtue on ABC Sunday Morning. He castigated with Stephanopoulos' assistance those who possess principles and stick to them as the new "Hoovers" of the Republican party. In Arnold world, which emerged from the let's pretend world of acting and the let's create artificial body mass with steroids of Arnold's shortcut method of body building, government must provide "everything" to the "people". This was attempted in Marxist revolutions and socialist takeovers many times in many places and has never worked. These systems are excellent at shoving the rich down the hill but can not pull the poor and middle class up it. Believing free market capitalism works built the most prosperous nation there has ever been. When government interfered with markets that naturally would have found their own equilibrium, the economic situation only became worse. The more government manipulation, the harder the markets have to work to try to correct this distortion. Obama is warping the markets where they can no longer work and depression will be the outcome. There was no dearth of regulation or law that permitted the decline to begin. There was laxity among the regulators (or in some cases perhaps complicity-it is hard to imagine in cases like Madoff and Stanford with a decade or so of warning to the SEC that there wasn't). There were the government-sponsored entities Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae that distorted the markets. There were restrictions passed against the almost non-existent practice of redlining. Activist organizations lobbied politicians and used race-baiting pressure tactics, particularly ACORN and Jesse Jackson's Rainbow PUSH, to basically extort positions for themselves and their supporters and managed with their media lackeys to create the impression that minority members were being denied loans because of their race or ethnic origin. This was almost universally not the case. The way the law was originally crafted to prevent redlining sounded reasonable enough-that a particular area could not be excluded from receiving credit and that potential borrowers had to be evaluated on a case by case basis on their own merit and not judged by the area where they lived and were applying for a loan from or where the business was going to be located that they were applying for credit to start or operate with if they were launching or running a commercial endeavor. In practice, this meant banks were giving money away to avoid public relations damage, government sanction, and litigation and if enough people receive enough money from enough financial institutions that they simply don't intend or have the ability to pay back, you end up where we are now. Of course, the bets on bets of the derivative markets pulled these sub-primes down further and faster, and regulators twiddling their thumbs when they should have been working allowed this to happen. Add in the raw criminality, unprecedented in scope, of your Madoff and Stanford and whoever has not been caught yet and a corporate structure with inter-locking boards of directors and shameless executives who green lighted every harebrained scheme and demanded and received from the board- that did nothing to protect their shareholders-golden parachute compensation packages and you end up with this-a bunch of leftists (including Snowe, Collins, Specter, and the schlock movie actor destroying California) taking away the only chance the nation has for recovery and dooming us to the endless misery of socialism.

Obama Subdues Economy

The premise of American exceptionalism was built on liberty, of course, but also on industry and thrift. Supporting one's family was regarded as a necessity and building the family nest egg, as a virtue. All this is being altered dramatically and quickly by the boy socialist who is living up to his promise to be the agent of change. Germany changed dramatically and quickly once from the decadence of Wiemar to the brutal totalitarianism of Hitler. Throughout history, change has often proven to be for the worse. Obama will be a transformative figure-he will take us from the most prosperous, freest nation there has ever been, to march in lockstep with the crumbling socialist countries of Europe. There is no prospect whatsoever that the just-passed stimulus bill will end the recession so Obama will demand more expensive, more intrusive measures to bring the economy back from the brink. While causing a depression and/or inflation the likes of which the country has never seen, Obama and his minions backed by his propagandists in the old-line press will say we are moving too slow and trying to grow the economy out of trouble "on the cheap". They will succeed in whatever demented leftist proposition they want including socialized medicine but this will not stem the tide of worsening recession, only exacerbate it. God help us.

Culture of Dependency

When America was a pre-national colonial enterprise, experiments in socialism were attempted but were abandoned when the early colonists saw they had no prospect of success, disincentivized hard work, and were in fact, destructive of society. "Those who do not work, do not eat" became the edict on which our prosperity has been built (earned). I am certain that Henrietta Hughes has a sob story as to why she is in the lamentable condition she finds herself and her family and that she described to our President and some charity might well deliver her from her desperate straits, but why should the responsible suffer for obviously poor decisions? Why should those who have never missed a payment in their lives, who have lived within their means (or well-below their means to accumulate some wealth), be forced at the point of government guns-that is after all what the Federal income tax boils down to-to empty their accounts to subsidize the irresponsible? Obama is the first President who wants to equalize outcomes. The only way he can do this is to sap the productive. This is called Marxism.

Rose Colored Blinders

Obama is remarkably venerated by the dinosaur media and even late night comedians. His dubious associations and dangerous policy positions hardly are mentioned and never are scrutinized. His call for sacrifice is not examined. Bush was constantly criticized throughout his first Presidential campaign, accused of conspiring with his brother Jeb, then Governor of Florida, and Katherine Harris to steal Al Gore's legitimate victory which did not happen in the 2000 election but seems to be precisely what Democrats are doing today in Minnesota with Al Franken. The late pair of Ann Richards and Molly Ivins were trotted out to tell the world what a bastard George Bush was by lying about his record in Texas. Prior to 9/11, the mainstream media did everything it could to poison the well in regard to George Bush. Nothing Bush did or said would have redeemed him in the eyes of the Bush haters though there was a brief respite from most of the venom that lasted for a few months after the September 11 al Qaeda mass murder. All the monologues and jokes about Obama are gentle and elevating. Obama's gaffes are ignored (57 states, dozens of "uhs" in extemporaneous speeches) while Bush was made to look a buffoon with every malaprop incessantly repeated as fodder to diminish not only him but to make his supporters look foolish-how could you have voted for an imbecile who can't say "nuclear" or "strategy"? Obama is above criticism. He is seen by his devotees including those with press cards as infallible. He absolves his nominees such as Tim Geithner much like the Pope. His plan for the nation will punish the vast majority who are not upside down in their homes or facing foreclosure to bail out those who often deliberately overextended themselves. If someone has been responsible, scrimped and saved, Obama will now grab more away. Obama will reward the parasitic at the expense of the productive. He is demanding greater sacrifice from many who unlike Obama, volunteered for military service, who unlike Obama, took great personal risk to open business and meet payroll, who unlike Obama, who had racketeer Tony Rezko to help foot the bill, sweat blood to earn a down payment and stay current on their ordinary houses, not multi-million dollar properties where a criminal has your back. Obama is the icon, the idol of not only his voters but of the press whose purported mission had been to question, to speak truth to power, to be adversaries to those who rule over us. Now they are Obama's most prominent boosters. To paraphrase The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance, the media is making the myth, they are broadcasting the legend before the Marxist neophyte has even taken the oath of office.

Abandonment Issues Abound

The Republicans disregarded the conservative principles of Goldwater and Reagan that first gained the American West then made the South a solid GOP stronghold and turned the Republicans into the dominant, majority national party. The US abdicated her sovereignty by leaving the Southern border unguarded and the Hispanic population surged and their culture flourished, meaning that African American and poor white labor was supplanted along with Anglo-Saxon custom and tradition and her Afro-Caribbean influence which were formerly considered essentially American. US industry, which after World War II was the workshop of the world, was first threatened by the rise of industrial Japan with her total quality management model as was propounded by an American, W. Edwards Deming, and her generous subsidies to Japanese companies to allow them to dump televisions and consumer electronics underselling and destroying American competitors, and then was ultimately replaced almost all together because of high labor and benefit cost and union work rule constraint with trade agreements such as NAFTA making it profitable to move American manufacturing outside the country. America induced capital flight with the second highest capital gains tax in the world. Even many call centers fled abroad often landing in India and causing no end of US consumer frustration. The Democratic party eschewed their commitment to robust national defense and the containment of Communism that were exemplified by Jack Kennedy and Scoop Jackson. Europe left Christendom to embrace an admixture of hedonism and the sincere worship by many of Islam and welcomed hordes of third world refugees to subvert the formerly dominant culture. Europe placed the burden and expense of her security on the US even necessitating American military action in the Balkans as states broke up and order disintegrated. NATO did not step up in Iraq at all or sufficiently in Afghanistan to make it a viable strategic alliance. The US is Michael and the NATO allies are the four other Jacksons. Russia ran from her brief flirtation with democracy under Yeltsin to return to strongman and Mussolini mimic Putin. The world dispensed with traditional morality with the great bacchanal of the 1960s. Mothers departed from raising their children as the viciously progressive income tax necessitated families produce two incomes, one to live on and one to pay the tax burden. Educators gave up teaching the classics and critical thinking in favor of I'm OK, You're OK non-competitive, values neutral instruction and copious leftist indoctrination. The ACLU and judicial elites first conspired to remove God from the classroom and then from the public square. The trial bar and legislators crafted law to remove personal responsibility and common sense. Bureaucrats and social engineers crafted sufficient regulation and the affirmative action quota system to drive out business and eradicate the entrepreneurial spirit which made America the land of opportunity and to create favored classes at the expense of the majority race and of white males in particular. Regulators failed to enforce financial rules and executives did not exercise fiduciary responsibility. President Bush threw in the towel on free market capitalism and basically nationalized large swaths of the American economy. Then the US and the world abandoned "never again" contentions and no Iran nukes leaving the Jewish state vulnerable. Finally America shunted aside logic and elected a Marxist neophyte as her President.

Biden's Loose Lips

In the past, our future Vice President has been known for his bluntness, some incredibly poor choice of words, and a notorious episode of plagiarism. Did Biden make a verbal misstep once again by saying the economy is in "much worse shape than we expected"? I believe his statement was calculated, deliberate, and tactical. Biden accomplishes three goals by this utterance.1.) He immunizes the incoming administration from any of the responsibility for recession. The Bush administration is held solely culpable for the chaos and dislocation to come. 2.)Biden provides a rationale for Obama's Marxist ambition to attempt his Utopian cures for our economic ills. 3.) When Obama fails to restore financial prosperity and further destabilizes the market, his remedy is found faultless by the leftist lackeys in media and academe as Bush left the unrecoverable dire situation in the first place. Every conservative must contest this strategy and fight Obama's plans in order to preserve the capitalist and democratic nature of our Constitutional republic. There can be no era of good feelings, no crossing the aisle in the interest of the "new tone", no "kinder gentler" outreach to a man and his party who are at war with liberty and who intend to impose a self-perpetuating socialism from which there is no escape.

Presidential Prerogatives Piqued

You'll never hear the President preach/ That you must support your local leech/ But that's just what his plans will do/ He's bound to make a monkey of you/ If you work for your money/ He finds that quite funny/ And if you drive, strive, or like your babies alive/ He'll be deft practicing theft and promoting abortion/ You'll find he's strikingly similar to Governor Extortion.

His Supreme Arrogance

Obama just trotted out his economic team. President-elect Certitude says he has confidence in their "ingenuity" and in the "hard work and sacrifice" of the American people. Not the ingenuity of the American people but our hard work and sacrifice. We are his worker bees, his drones, his great unwashed proletariat. It is the ingenuity of the American people not his James Watt joke of an economic team that have made America the unstoppable engine of prosperity that feeds the world. My earlier post talked of justice which Obama characterized in today's press briefing as equalizing outcomes, whether he would allow Bush's tax cuts to lapse or repeal them. I benefited from the Bush tax cuts, but my net worth is about one-seventh of what it was just last year. Yet, the class warfare artist Obama wants to punish generations of my family for living within our means and actually accumulating something. If O-I'm so sorry so many were gulled into voting for him wants justice, how about ending the slaughter of innocents called abortion that has stolen the lives of forty-five million plus before they took their first breath. God forgive America.
