Reformation Not Likely

Just as many were killed at one time in the Catholic Church for "heresy", Islam has had potential reformers rise up, but they tend to be quickly and permanently silenced by the most devoted Muslims who are determined that their faith and practice never be altered. Those who are fanatics in their devotion to Mohammad will broach no compromise either within their religion or with those they consider infidels.
