The Right Qualifications

Race and sex are not the measure of the capabilities of a jurist or anyone else. They should not be the central reasons anyone is appointed to anything. Merit should be the primary consideration with all else being incidental. For her entire tenure, the new Associate Justice of the United States Supreme Court will be seen as an Affirmative Action hire with all that entails. She may be brilliant and fair, but for all eternity, the motivations for her nomination will cloud her record. Many will perceive that she is not there because she is good (which is a leap, because I believe she will be a rubberstamp for the far Left agenda) but because she checked the right boxes.
