Goodbye to Plato

When there are capricious rules imposed on the public, it is hard to continue to call America a "Republic". Diktats and mandates from on high without the consent of the governed are turning us away from our Founding. It was a reverence for the rights of the individual that differentiated the United States from other countries. Until now, in the US, the individual was protected from the whims of the collective. As we can see, that is no longer so.
