The Hillary Bandwagon

Hillary Clinton was supposed to be the Democrat nominee virtually by acclamation. Hillary was going to be the next President with a coronation. In the event, it seems Hillary's tires are flat. Her election bandwagon has broken axles. It looks like Hillary may even lose the first Democrat primary to fireball Bernie Sanders. I am not certain Hillary will ultimately be the Democrat nominee. I am sure that if she is, the Republican nominee (whoever that happens to be) will win the general election.

Prayer and Faith

The time prayer is needed most is no time to question faith. I know I will never be able to come close to understanding the ways of the Lord. The One who created all is who I have praised and will continue to praise even as I beseech the Creator.

A Family Crisis

My regular posts will likely be disrupted as we are in the midst of a family crisis. Thank you gentle reader for bearing with me during this time.

Nashville Mayor's Race

The runoff election for mayor in my hometown of Nashville, Tennessee between David Fox and Megan Berry is a strange race. Berry has bragged that she is the most "progressive" candidate since she entered the quest to replace Karl Dean. She counts that as a positive. Berry has pledged dish out plenty of "free" cultural events when she becomes mayor. Her ads criticize David Fox as a "hedge fund manager who made millions". I would think people would like to have a mayor who knows how to handle money. Since when is being successful an indictment. I have already early voted for David Fox and encourage my fellow Nashvillians to do the same.

Appeasement and War

Barack Hussein Obama now has sufficient votes to assure his big wet kiss to the mad mullahs of Iran. Not a single Republican is going along with easing Iran's path to the Bomb, but enough Democrats are not serious about national security or bought off that Obama's veto will stand. This lunacy does not solidify peace but will cause a regional arms race and in the not too distant future, war. The Democrats voting with Obama and Iran will go down in history as a bunch of Neville Chamberlains. There will not be "peace in our time" but a bloodbath between Iran and her Shia supporters and the Sunnis and quite possibly Iran and her proxies and Israel. Obama has not earned his Peace Prize but made a mockery of it.

A Terror Currency

The Islamic State (IS) is now creating its own money. It has also announced plans to attack the West financially. Wherever there is rule of law, anyone who attempts to conduct business using Islamic State coins should be prosecuted for abetting terror. The Islamic State is no "state" at all but a bunch of murderous fanatics who are temporarily in control of some territory. The West should also bomb the mint where IS is producing coins out of existence. So far as waging economic war on the West goes, the Islamic State can not hold a candle to the damage our political leadership is doing.

The Central Planners

Some American investors thought the oppressive central planners who run Red China were wizards at successfully managing their economy. These Americans believed the butchers of Tiananmen were brilliantly guiding mainland China to prosperity. Central planners attempt to manipulate markets. Every time they have tried, no matter where they were, the central planners have failed. China is a massive nation with massive resources. The Communists managing China create worse outcomes than free market forces.
