A Driving Desire

The problem with self-driving vehicles is that they will at some point in the not-too-distant future be the only vehicles on the road, except perhaps for government (including law enforcement) vehicles. As a mechanism of control, our government masters will not permit us to drive anymore. They will use the rationale (subterfuge) of safety and will be aided by insurance companies, who will contend that human drivers are just too unpredictable and the cause of most (all) wrecks with self-driving cars and trucks as the new automated technology becomes more prevalent.

The Odd Americans

I notice many folks want to make an exhibition of themselves. If you are going to "adorn" yourself with lots of tattoos and exotic piercings, please do not complain if people look.

The Old Americans

It did not matter where they came from, only that they were now in the Land of the Free. They gave up being Italian-Americans or German-Americans or whatever their old allegiances sprung from to be real "Americans". They were ready to defend their new found sacred liberty to the death. They do not make this kind of citizen very often anymore. We still have plenty of Americans ready to fight but mostly only on a video screen.

The New American

The new American does not speak English and has little desire to learn our common tongue. The new American is as likely to attend a mosque as a church. The new American begins collecting his "benefits" before he ever pays a cent into the system. The new American will be welcomed with voting rights as quickly as possible. The new American's vote will be worth as much as yours even though you lost relatives at Bunker Hill and Gettysburg and bled for "your country" in Vietnam. The new American will be a lifelong Democrat. Welcome to the new American.
