More Professional Policing

Some members of law enforcement in the United States lack sufficient training. When deputies shoot a girl running away from her kidnapper numerous times, it is a reflection of gross incompetence. You end up with a hysteria when one officer has discharged his weapon, and the rest join in, without any legitimate reason for any firing in the first place. Then, you just had a mentally distressed teen threatening to harm himself after locking himself in a bathroom with a knife. You don't deconflict that situation by breaking into the room and opening fire on an unstable person. These events could largely be averted with more thorough training.
